Honestly, when I first heard “Main Street Apartments,” I was expecting something pretty generic – you know, one of those bland corporate places that could be anywhere. But walking up to Sandomierska 3 in Debniki, I realized this place actually has some serious character. The building itself sits on this quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos around the Main Square, even though you’re literally just across the Vistula River from all the action.

What really got me was how the owners managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment-style independence and proper hotel service. I mean, you’ve got your own space with a real kitchen (not just a sad mini-fridge and microwave situation), but they still take care of all those little details that make you feel looked after. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – and I say surprising because Krakow’s old buildings can be pretty cramped. The windows are big enough that you actually get decent natural light, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.

The Debniki neighborhood is where this place really shines though. Most tourists stick to the Old Town and maybe venture into Kazimierz, but staying here gives you this authentic slice of how Krakow actually works. There’s a fantastic little bakery about two blocks down that the locals line up at every morning around 7 AM – their szarlotka is absolutely worth the early wake-up call. You can walk to Wawel Castle in maybe fifteen minutes, but it’s along the riverbank so it’s actually pleasant, not just functional. And here’s something I didn’t expect – the tram connections are really solid from this spot. The number 1 and 6 lines can get you pretty much anywhere you need to go without dealing with the narrow, crowded streets in the center.

Parking was way less stressful than I’d feared (anyone who’s driven in European city centers knows this anxiety), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. No weird key card issues or confusing elevator situations. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend evenings can get a bit lively with locals hanging out by the river, but honestly, it’s more charming than disruptive – just real neighborhood life happening around you. With a 9.8 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. It’s one of those places where you end up feeling like you actually experienced Krakow rather than just passed through it.

  One bedroom apartment located near the river with easy access to the city centre (10-15 min walking) and also easy to go out of the city in case you want to visit the area.
  The apartment is clean, nice decorated and spacious for a family of 4 members. Underground parking is easily accessible. Comfortable large double bed in the bedroom. The owner is very polite and helpful person.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast is available at the hotel in front of the building, but it is mediocre. The sofa in the leaving room is not that comfortable, but ok.

  Excellent location, spotless clean, the apartment is in residential block but no noise from anyone else.
  The host renata gave us an early check in and kept in touch to check we were OK and did we need anything.

  We had such a comfortable stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything is so high end. The owner has really put so much thought in the details and all the fixtures and fittings. Who would ever want to stay in a standard hotel room again when you can have all this space to enjoy. It’s like entering a gentleman’s lair.
  
  An added bonus was the fantastic air conditioning in the bedroom that made it feel so comfortable to sleep at night whilst it was 27° outside.
  
  Everything felt very close by to us, not far to walk to all the major sites. The apartment faces towards the river and is therefore so quiet for a good night sleep.
  Last, but not least a parking spot under the building. This was very much needed.

  It was a beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean, and the location was very good.
  
  What could be improved: For me the bed was too hard, but my husband liked it. You did have to cross the river to get to the Old Town, but being just outside of the main excitement, made it for a very peaceful, yet fun stay.
