Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Mały Kraków Aparthotel – the name literally means “Little Krakow” and honestly, that pretty much sums up the vibe perfectly. It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which I actually found refreshing after staying in so many hotels that promise the moon and deliver… well, not the moon.

The aparthotel sits in this quiet residential area that feels authentically Krakow without all the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 15-20 minutes if you don’t mind a stroll), but you get to experience what it’s like to actually live in the city rather than just visit it. The apartments themselves are pretty straightforward – clean, functional, with that distinctly Eastern European minimalist aesthetic that’s grown on me over the years. The kitchenettes are small but actually usable, which is more than I can say for most hotel “kitchens.” I made coffee every morning and even managed to cook a simple dinner one night with groceries from the little market around the corner. The beds are decent enough, though the pillows are on the firmer side if that matters to you.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you can hear the city humming in the distance, but it’s not that constant urban noise that keeps you awake. The staff speaks solid English and they’re genuinely helpful without being overly formal about it. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about the best tram route to Kazimierz, the woman at reception drew me this little map that was way more useful than anything on my phone. Look, it’s not luxury by any stretch – the Wi-Fi can be spotty, and the shower pressure varies depending on the time of day – but for a 3-star place, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without any major surprises, positive or negative. If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable to crash while you explore Krakow without paying Old Town prices, and you don’t need a concierge or fancy amenities, this little aparthotel does the job quite nicely.

They had some renovations there, so we were provided another property just across the street –
a large two story apartment in a historic building. Who would not like that?

  • Dave from United Kingdom (9/10)

location was excellent, Staff were not located in the building but in the building over the road but was not an issue.

Rooms were good, what we expected, we would stay again.

  • John from United Kingdom (9/10)

triple room was big enough and the shower was great, sink and small hob in the room

  • Sergii from Ukraine (8/10)

The location of the apartment is lovely. The apartments are situated near the railway station a 5-minute walk. The room is small but comfortable and clean.

  • Olga from Ukraine (8/10)

Clean room, featured with kitchen staff and necessary for your rest tools. Perfect location for exhausted travellers with baggage (as it's a ground-level building). The team is helpful and friendly.

  • Paweł from Ireland (9/10)

The place was beyond our expectations. Especially the location, cleanliness and kitchenette inside the room was great.

  • Oleksii from Ukraine (9/10)

    My expectations were met.

  • Elzbieta from United Kingdom (7/10)

Location very close to the railway station – very convenient. The room was small and basic but had everything needed. The room was bit out-dated but clean. It is quiet despite the very central location. Good place to stay for 1-2 nights.
