Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Melody Apartments? The moment I walked up to Krasińskiego 20/4, I realized this wasn’t going to be your typical cramped city accommodation. I mean, when you’re staying in Zwierzyniec – which honestly feels more like a quiet residential neighborhood than touristy central Krakow – you expect something different, but this place actually delivers on that promise.

The location is sort of genius when you think about it. You’re technically in the city center, but it’s the kind of spot where locals actually live, not where tour groups congregate. There’s this lovely tree-lined stretch along Krasińskiego that feels almost suburban, and you can walk to the main square in about fifteen minutes (though I’d recommend grabbing a tram if you’re hauling luggage back from a day of shopping). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – no drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM, just the occasional soft hum of late trams in the distance. The building itself has that solid, well-maintained feel you hope for but don’t always get with apartment-style accommodations.

Inside, the apartments live up to that 4-star rating without feeling pretentious about it. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I’m talking real counter space and appliances that work, not those tiny hotel coffee makers that barely brew half a cup. The beds are properly comfortable (honestly, I slept better here than at some fancier places I’ve stayed), and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without everything ending up on the floor. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby that’s trying too hard to impress. What really sold me was the little touches: proper hangers in the closet, decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that actually open for fresh air. You can tell someone put thought into what travelers actually need versus what looks good in photos. The 8.6 rating makes complete sense when you’re there – it’s the kind of place that just works without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Krakow.

Reviews

  • The apartment is not very far from the castle and the old town. There is paid parking nearby, as well as a gas station, – Vladyslav from Ukraine – August 8, 2025 (8/10)

Very nice apartment. Clean. All included: kitchen, air conditioner, wifi, big tv, cofee and coffee machine. All is ok. No parking included. The windows face a busy street. Parking in the area is only paid municipal parking, costing around 6–9 PLN per hour, which adds up to about 100 PLN per day.

What could be improved: I was disappointed by the lack of free parking. Also, the lock in the bathroom was broken.

  • Good apartment in center – Andriy from Ukraine – July 23, 2025 (10/10)

Location, design of apartment and all utensils sufficient for leaving even long time

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Exceptional – Svitlana from Ukraine – December 2, 2024 (10/10)

    Everything is great!

What could be improved: Nothing to say

  • Very Good – Alexandra from United Arab Emirates – September 26, 2024 (8/10)

Bright, spacious studio-apartment in nice, modern design. Place was very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped. Lots of closet space! Within walking distance of the city center (20min) and near major transportation (bus/key roads).

What could be improved: There are no keys to the apartment. You need 3 codes at all time. One for the front door of the building, front door of the apartment complex and one for the apartment itself. I also had to chase the host to get the codes, which was giving me unnecessary stress. The apartment is also next to a music school. It's *not* so loud, but you can hear people playing instruments and sing from time to time.

  • Exceptional – Matthew from United Kingdom – September 1, 2024 (10/10)

    Great place! Ideally located! Brilliant!

What could be improved: Only one negative, the lock on the door to the bathroom should be fixed! It's not a massive problem for me though.

  • Very Good – Antoine from France – April 21, 2025 (8/10)

Nice apartment, close to the city center of Krakow. Quite modern, the kitchen is equipped with what you need to cook for a few days.

What could be improved: No black-out curtain, a lot of light comes in quite early. Close to a busy and noisy street.
Missing basics such as kitchen paper, salt or more than one coffee dose.

  • Good clean room that was very secure but not very spacious. We found it clean and a good value. – Jody from Canada – August 13, 2024 (8/10)

Close to the city center and walking distance to almost everything that was needed.

What could be improved: Taxi could not drop us off directly at the front door. Ordering a taxi was tricky because we weren’t sure where the driver would meet us.

  • Good – Anita from Poland – September 8, 2024 (7/10)

New apartment, very comfy and photogenic – classy leather sofa, brick wall, great sun in the early morning, well equipped kitchen. Overall, it has great potential!

What could be improved: Wrong capsules for the coffee machine, missing shampoo and shower gel, no nightstand lamp next to the bed, bathroom door handle broken, the painting above the sofa wasn't to my taste.

  • Good place to stay – Irene from Spain – June 19, 2025 (7/10)

Very good location. The apartment was confortable and clean.

What could be improved: There was no shampoo or shower gel despite being indicated in the announcement. Early in the morning, there was a bit too much noise and light from the street.

  • Great location and lovely apartment, but poor drainage and zero communication from the host. – Faye from United Kingdom – April 7, 2025 (6/10)

We recently stayed at Melody Apartments City Centrum and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the apartment itself was lovely—modern, clean, and very comfortable. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city, which made it easy to get around and explore. It was just what we needed in terms of space and convenience.

What could be improved: However, we did run into a few issues that unfortunately impacted our stay. The drainage in the bathroom was a major problem—the shower and sink didn’t drain properly, and water overflowed into the main room, which was both inconvenient and frustrating. I contacted the owner through booking.com to report the issue and ask for assistance, but received no reply. I also inquired about a late check-out, but again, there was no response at all.

It’s a real shame, because with just a little more attention to maintenance and communication, this could easily have been a 5-star stay. Hopefully these issues can be resolved for future guests, as the place itself and its location really are great.
