Honestly, when I first walked up to Mirror Gold & Grey Studios on Brzozowa Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – it’s tucked into this narrow side street that you’d easily miss if you weren’t looking for it. But that’s actually part of its charm, you know? You’re literally in the heart of Old Town (I mean, you can practically hear the church bells from St. Mary’s Basilica), but it feels like you’ve discovered this quiet little pocket that most tourists never stumble across.

The studios themselves are pretty thoughtfully designed – whoever put these together actually gets what travelers need. The gold and grey color scheme isn’t just some Instagram-worthy nonsense; it creates this warm, sophisticated vibe that makes the compact spaces feel way more expensive than they are. I was honestly surprised by how functional everything was. The kitchenette setup is small but smart – you’ve got enough to make proper coffee in the morning (thank god) and maybe heat up some pierogi from the market on Grodzka Street, which is maybe a three-minute walk. The bathroom’s tight but clean, and here’s something I appreciated – the water pressure is actually decent, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings.

What really sold me on this place though is the location situation. Look, everyone talks about staying in Old Town, but most people don’t realize there’s a difference between being on the main tourist drag and being tucked into one of these residential streets. Brzozowa is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with drunk stag parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM (trust me, that’s a real issue closer to the main square), but you’re still close enough to walk to everything that matters. The Cloth Hall is maybe five minutes on foot, Wawel Castle is an easy stroll, and – this is key – you’re close to some of the better local spots that aren’t completely overrun. There’s this little café around the corner that locals actually go to, and the guy who runs the small grocery nearby started recognizing me after day two.

The 8.1 rating makes sense to me. It’s not luxury – the walls are a bit thin, and you’ll hear your neighbors if they’re having a loud phone conversation – but it’s solid, reliable, and the price point is fair for what you get in this part of the city. Check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone when I called about arriving early), and the whole operation feels professionally run without being stuffy about it. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the city rather than hanging out in the room. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re living in Kraków for a few days rather than just visiting it.

  Great location close to nice cafes and restaurants, stores, tram and train station. 15 minutes walking to the city centre, very green and historical area. The apartment was clean, quite and had everything we needed to rest after a long day of walking. It was also nicely decorated, spacious enough for two people, and had a very comfortable bed. The owner contacted us prior to arrival, was very kind and responded quickly to any question.
  All in all, we would gladly stay there again and recommend this apartment.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is located on the European 2nd floor without an elevator, which was a bit challenging for a pregnant woman, and a bit dated. We were also missing light day curtains since neighbours just across could peek in, cutlery and one more hand towel.

  The apartments are in a great location in the jewish quater just a short walk from the old town. Our room was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Free WiFi with great signal was a bonus and the bed was so comfortable. We arrived hours before check in and they have small storage lockers available for a small fee. I Couldn't have asked for anything more.

  We absolutely loved our stay here! It was in a great location and the room had everything needed and was really spacious. We were really surprised! Very comfortable and would love to return.
  The under floor heating in the bathroom was delightful.

  The location was very good, close to city center and other sightseeing. It's a quite location and the room was warm, the closest supermarket is a 3 minutes walk. Also our request to check-in sooner was accepted.
