The thing about staying right in the Old Town is that you’re literally stepping out into centuries of history, but you’re also dealing with cobblestones that’ll murder your suitcase wheels and the occasional drunk group stumbling back from Szewska Street at 2 AM. This place manages that balance pretty well though – close enough that you can walk to Rynek Główny in maybe five minutes (I timed it), but tucked away enough that you’re not hearing every street performer and horse-drawn carriage that goes by. The apartment itself has this modern Polish aesthetic that’s become pretty popular lately – clean lines, good lighting, but not so minimalist that it feels cold. I mean, the bathroom actually has decent water pressure, which… if you’ve stayed in some of the converted medieval buildings around here, you’ll appreciate that small miracle.

What I really liked was how they handled the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. The kitchen had everything I needed for morning coffee and late-night snacks from Żabka, the Wi-Fi didn’t cut out every ten minutes like some places, and – this might sound weird but it matters – the bed was actually comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty. You know what though? The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too. None of that awkward “meet me at this random corner with the blue door” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Krakow, but it delivers on what most people actually want: clean, comfortable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get. I’d definitely book it again, especially during the shoulder seasons when the Old Town isn’t completely overrun with tour groups and you can actually enjoy wandering around Planty Park without feeling like you’re in a human parade.
