What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; the building seems well-insulated, and even with the roundabout nearby, I barely heard any traffic after about 10 PM. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure, which is honestly a small miracle.

Here’s the thing about the location that took me a day or two to really appreciate – you’re basically a 15-minute walk from the Old Town, but you’re living in an actual neighborhood where real people go about their daily lives. There’s a solid grocery store just around the corner (Żabka, if you know Polish convenience stores), and this little bakery about three blocks down that does incredible morning pastries. The tram connections are really convenient too; you can hop on and be at the main train station or over in Kazimierz without any hassle. Parking was way easier than I expected – there’s street parking that’s not completely impossible to navigate, unlike some parts of the city where you’re circling for 20 minutes. I stayed during shoulder season, so I can’t speak to how hectic it gets in peak summer, but in October it felt just right. The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around wondering if anyone’s actually coming to let you in. Look, it’s a 3-star place with a 9.1 rating for good reason: it doesn’t pretend to be fancy, but it gets all the important stuff right, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually experience a city rather than just photograph it.
