I’ll be honest – I almost walked past MyFive Apartments Kraków the first time I tried to find it. These aren’t your typical flashy hotel signs and marble lobbies, which actually turned out to be exactly what made the place so special. It’s tucked into one of those gorgeous Kraków buildings that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a movie set, and once you’re inside, you realize why this place has that crazy 9.9 rating.

The apartments themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully done” – you know how some places try too hard with weird modern art and uncomfortable furniture? This isn’t that. Everything feels like someone actually lives there and cares about the details. The kitchens are properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook something more complex than instant noodles), and the beds… honestly, I’ve stayed at five-star places with worse mattresses. What really got me was the little stuff – decent coffee in the kitchen, blackout curtains that actually block light, and bathrooms with water pressure that doesn’t make you question your life choices. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out which pierogi place to hit next.

Location-wise, you’re in the sweet spot where you can walk to the main square without being right in the tourist chaos. I loved being able to grab breakfast at one of those local spots where they don’t speak English but somehow you still end up with exactly what you wanted, then wander over to the Old Town when the mood strikes. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – you’ll see actual locals doing actual life stuff, not just tour groups and souvenir shops. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (aren’t most places in Kraków’s center?), but the staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real advice, not just “park somewhere nearby and figure it out.” I stayed during shoulder season in October, and while the tourist spots were still busy during the day, evenings in the neighborhood were perfectly quiet. You get the sense that even during peak summer, you’d be far enough from the late-night party crowds to actually sleep.
