New Port – Premium Floating Aparthotel Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “floating hotel,” I pictured some sketchy houseboat situation. But New Port completely changed my mind about what a floating aparthotel could be. This place is actually impressive, and I mean that in the best way possible.
The whole setup is pretty clever, you know? Instead of cramped hotel rooms, you get proper apartment-style spaces that happen to be on the water. There’s something oddly soothing about the gentle movement – not enough to make you seasick (I was worried about that), but just enough to remind you that you’re somewhere different. The soundproofing is surprisingly good too, which matters because water carries noise in weird ways. I was expecting to hear every conversation from neighboring units, but honestly, it was quieter than most city hotels I’ve stayed in.
What really got me was the attention to detail in the apartments themselves. The kitchenettes are actually functional – not just a mini-fridge and a coffee maker, but real counter space and decent appliances. Perfect if you want to grab some local ingredients and cook instead of eating out every night (your wallet will thank you). The windows are massive, obviously, since the whole point is being on the water, and the natural light in the morning is just… well, it’s pretty spectacular. I found myself getting up earlier just to watch the water change colors as the sun came up.
The staff really knows their stuff too – they’ll give you the real scoop on everything from where to catch the best sunset views to which nearby restaurants are worth it versus tourist traps. Check-in was smooth, no weird complications about being on a floating property or anything like that. Parking is on solid ground nearby, so no need to worry about your car bobbing around with the hotel.
I mean, it’s still a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or turndown service with chocolates on your pillow. But honestly? The location and unique experience more than make up for any missing luxury touches. That 9.1 rating isn’t just hype – people genuinely love this place because it delivers something you can’t get at a regular hotel. The combination of having your own space plus being right on the water creates this perfect balance between independence and adventure.
The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to feel completely grounded, this might not be your jam. There’s definitely a subtle movement, especially if the weather picks up. But for most people, it’s actually kind of relaxing – like being gently rocked to sleep. Just maybe pack some motion sickness tablets if you’re particularly sensitive, though I never needed them.

Everything 🙌. The quant and modern design of the rooms relaxing on the riverside , stocked mini bar and snacks and beds were nice and comfortable . Our three day trip in Poland overall was a bit of a disaster , first day I realised I’d left my bag in the taxi from the airport , the wonderful receptionist called Bolt for us so she could ask taxi driver about my bag but he didn’t speak English or Polish and so it was very difficult to arrange to get the bag back but she really tried to help us in the situation and found me later on in the day to check we had got something sorted . On our second day my nephew was sick in the evening and was still feeling very poorly the next day , we had to check out at 11 and we our flight wasn’t until late that evening and we had planned to spend the day doing experiences to catch up on what we had missed from trying to track down my bag for five hours on the first day but he was too ill , the thought of hanging about somewhere to pass the time for someone poorly filled us all with dread and so I asked the hotel if we could pay for another night so that we had somewhere warm and comfortable to spend the day and although we couldn’t stay in the same room due to new arrivals, we were transferred to another with no problem at all . This made our last day a lot more pleasant and I can’t thank the staff high enough for helping out in both these incidences . If I were to return to Kracow , I’d stay here again and have recommended New Port to friends and family .
