The thing about staying right in Kraków’s Old Town is that you’re basically living inside a postcard, which sounds amazing until you realize that also means tourist crowds and restaurant music drifting up from the street until pretty late. But here’s what I loved about this particular spot – the windows face away from the main drag, so you get all the medieval charm without feeling like you’re sleeping above a beer garden. I mean, you’ll still hear some street noise because it’s the city center, but it’s more like the gentle hum of people walking home rather than party chaos. The bedrooms are actually separate rooms (revolutionary concept, I know) with decent-sized windows that let in proper light during the day.

What really sold me was the kitchen situation – not some tiny kitchenette shoved in a corner, but an actual functional space where you can make coffee without bumping into the fridge. Super helpful when you want to grab breakfast before heading out to beat the crowds at St. Mary’s Basilica, which is literally a few minutes’ walk away. Speaking of walking, everything is close but not overwhelmingly so. The Cloth Hall, Wawel Castle, all those spots you came to see – they’re all right there, but the apartment doesn’t feel like it’s sitting in the middle of a theme park. You can actually duck back during the day if you need a break from sightseeing, which trust me, you will.

The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not luxury by any means – this is a 3-star place that knows what it is – but everything works the way it should. Hot water, reliable WiFi, comfortable beds that don’t make weird creaking sounds when you roll over. The kind of place where you’re not constantly thinking about the accommodation because nothing’s broken or annoying. Check-in was straightforward too, none of that “meet me at the corner with the red building” confusion you sometimes get with apartment rentals.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with someone else who needed their own space – couples who don’t want to live in each other’s pockets for a week, or friends who have different sleep schedules. The two bedrooms thing actually matters when you’re trying to get ready for dinner and someone else wants to nap off their pierogi coma. Just book it early if you’re coming during summer or around Christmas markets season, because places like this in the Old Town get snatched up pretty quickly.

Hotel in Krakow booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural festivals and medieval celebrations.
