NovaNest Apartments – Kalwaryjska – by Upstairs Overview
So I ended up at NovaNest Apartments on Kalwaryjska during my last trip to Krakow, and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. You know how apartment hotels can be hit or miss – sometimes you get this sterile corporate vibe, other times it feels like someone just threw some furniture in a room and called it a day. This place actually hits that sweet spot where it feels like a proper apartment but with hotel-level cleanliness.
The location on Kalwaryjska is pretty solid if you know the area. I mean, it’s not right in the thick of the Old Town chaos, which is honestly a relief if you’re staying more than a couple nights. You’re still close enough to walk to the main spots – maybe 15 minutes to the market square if you don’t mind the stroll – but far enough out that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. The street itself has that lived-in Krakow feel, with actual locals going about their business, a few decent cafés nearby, and you’ll probably hear some Polish conversations drifting up from the sidewalk in the mornings (which I found oddly charming). There’s a Żabka convenience store practically around the corner, and if you need groceries, there’s a proper supermarket within walking distance.
What I really appreciated was how the apartments actually feel like apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be something they’re not. The kitchen setup is legit – I actually cooked breakfast a few times instead of hunting for overpriced hotel food. The space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional, with enough room to spread out your stuff without tripping over suitcases. Check-in was smooth, no weird complications or standing around waiting for someone to figure out the booking system. The whole building has this modern but not-trying-too-hard aesthetic – clean lines, decent lighting, everything works like it should. I did notice some street noise in the mornings, but nothing that would keep you awake unless you’re an extremely light sleeper. The wifi was solid throughout my stay, which matters more than people admit when you’re traveling. Honestly, for a 3-star place, it punches above its weight – the 8.0 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting apartment-style space and amenities without paying boutique hotel prices. If you’re the type who likes having your own space to decompress after a day of sightseeing, rather than being crammed into a standard hotel box, this place gets it right.
Hotels near me in Krakow offer convenient access to the medieval center, where guests can easily walk to St. Mary’s Basilica, Cloth Hall, and traditional Polish restaurants.

I liked very much the location, very nice new building and facilities are nice.I like that there are a lot of supermarkets on the same street,in Warsaw we were wondering a lot to find these supermarkets.I could cook breakfast for us and also very nice is that there is a washing machine. For those who wants to save on eating at restaurants ,and who wants to walk in clean clothes ,very nice place!for me ,for us was better than any hotel!

I will be happy to recommend these apartments. Cleanliness at a high level, excellent apartments with a high degree of security. The description of the location of the keys and the code to the building is very clear and understandable. The location is perfect and close to parks. I was pleasantly surprised to live in apartments. The staff is welcoming and can solve any question. Every visitor is treated with great attention.
There is also a shuttle service from/to the airport, which is very important if you are in the city for the first timeDianabeil from Ukraine (8/10)
Good apartment for its price. There is everything you need for life and even more (kitchen utensils). We loved this place 🙂
