You know what struck me first about the Novum City Center? It’s actually tucked into this perfect spot on Rakowicka Street where you get that authentic Old Town vibe without the tourist circus that happens closer to the main square. I mean, you’re still walking distance to everything – maybe eight minutes to the Cloth Hall if you don’t get distracted by the street art along the way – but it feels like you’ve found something the cruise ship crowds haven’t discovered yet.

The building itself has this interesting mix going on. It’s clearly been updated (thank god, because some of these historic places can be charming but freezing), but they kept enough of the original character that you still feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual history. The rooms are honestly better than I expected for a four-star – clean lines, decent space, and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get stuck with. What really impressed me though was how quiet it stays at night. Rakowicka isn’t one of those streets where drunk tourists stumble back from the bars at 3 AM, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open in summer.

The staff gets it, you know? They’re not overly formal or fake-friendly, just helpful in that straightforward Polish way. The guy at reception gave me this hand-drawn map showing the best route to avoid crowds when walking to Wawel Castle – turns out there’s this little path through Planty Park that most people miss. Honestly, that kind of local insight is worth more than fancy amenities. Speaking of which, the breakfast is solid (real coffee, not that instant stuff, and they have those Polish pastries that are impossible to pronounce but taste amazing), and there’s this little courtyard area where you can sit with your morning coffee and actually hear birds instead of traffic. The whole place just feels… well, comfortable. Not trying too hard to impress, but getting the important stuff right. If you’re looking for somewhere that puts you right in the heart of Kraków without making you feel like you’re staying in a tourist trap, this is your spot.

  The apartment is very spacious and well located, a 10-minute walk from Krakow Glowny train station, one of Krakow's main train stations.
  
  What could be improved: Although not essential, there were a few aspects that could be improved.
  First of all, the directions in the Booking app, to get to the location, do not take you to the apartment. It took more than half an hour, maybe more, to find someone to show me where the block where the apartment is located is.
  Second, perhaps being used to other hotel apartments, I was disappointed to find that, apart from a liquid soap, there was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom.
  Third and last, perhaps the communication via the phone attached as a contact could be improved. Since I arrived in Krakow much earlier than the check-in time, I asked if I could leave my luggage at the apartment (or at a location nearby) but the answer did not come. Neither that it was possible nor that it was not possible.

  New and modern apartment, really close to the Krakow old town. Clear instructions about the check-in process. We had no issues at all.
  
  What could be improved: We stayed for four days, and we would have appreciated it if there were more essentials provided, e.g. shower gel or washing detergent. Found only two dishwasher tablets and two garbage bags. Also, the shower door was not sealed, water easily ran onto the bathroom floor.

  Cozy apartment with a good location, only 15-minute walk to the old center. The apartment was clean and had a full list of necessary equipment, there were coffee, tea, and tablets for the dishwasher. Possibility to rent a parking place at the underground parking. Highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: In some cases, it's useful to have a microwave, but it's not crucial.

  Everything was awesome. First: perfect location, 10 min walk to the main bus and train station, and to a big outlet mall (all next to each other), very convenient. Apartment is in a very quiet gated residential area with 3-4 stories new buildings. On the way there there’s a nice Blossom cafeteria for breakfast on snacks. Next to it is Żabka, small convenience store. Apartment itself spotless, with contemporary design and appliances with AC. Nice balcony for a morning coffee. We really enjoyed staying there.

  Close proximity to the main train /bus station which has great connection to the airport, as well as only 15 min walk to the old town. You can walk through the train station which is connected to a shopping centre with all chain food and clothing brands. Just outside the estate there is a nice coffee place "Blossom" serving amazing breakfasts. We arrived very late so picking up the keys was going to be a challenge. However, it wasn't, locked box is just outside the estate, I have been given a code via text message and found the named envelope easily. In the apartment there is loads of space. The terrace area is almost as big as a whole apartment, which I can imagine is very useful in the summer. Very big bathroom with walk in shower that can easily fit two people.
  
  What could be improved: There is quite small TV, however, we did not really use it. It's more for reference rather than a complaint. Also the sofa in the living area was not very comfortable, but we have been told that new one has been ordered. Some fixtures like a washing machine connection were visible.
