Hotel Description

So I stumbled across these apartments on Świętego Wawrzyńca while wandering around Krakow’s Old Town, and honestly? They’re exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place that doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The building itself has that classic Krakow charm – you know, the kind where you’re climbing up narrow stairs wondering if your suitcase is going to make it, but somehow it adds to the whole experience.

What really struck me about staying here was how genuinely central everything is. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Main Square, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour groups at 7 AM. The street itself is pretty quiet – well, as quiet as Old Town gets anyway. You’ll hear some footsteps echoing off the cobblestones at night, but it’s more atmospheric than annoying. The apartments themselves are modern enough (hence the name, I suppose), though don’t expect anything fancy. Clean lines, decent Wi-Fi that actually works, and kitchenettes that are surprisingly functional if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries from the little market around the corner on Grodzka Street.

Here’s what I actually appreciated – the check-in was straightforward, no weird complications or hidden fees that some places spring on you. The 7.2 rating seems about right; it’s not going to blow your mind, but you won’t find yourself complaining either. The location really is the star here though. You can walk to Wawel Castle without breaking a sweat, hit up all those little bars in Kazimierz without needing taxis, and there’s a decent pierogi place literally two blocks away that locals actually go to (not one of those tourist traps with the laminated menus). I’d say if you’re someone who spends most of your time exploring rather than lounging in your room, this place makes a lot of sense. The price point feels fair for what you get, especially considering you’re essentially living in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns. Just pack light if you can – those stairs I mentioned earlier become a real workout with heavy bags.

Reviews

  • Good – Borys from Ukraine – October 5, 2024 (7/10)

The apartment is a 15-minute walk from the city center, and even closer to the embankment.
The apartment is modern with a good design, there is a comfortable bed, bathroom, kitchen and a large balcony with table and chairs.

What could be improved: The administrator does not use English, the instructions were sent at the last moment in Polish, which required additional time for translation.
He ignored the question about parking twice. And when we were already got to the building he did not answer the phone, but continued to write in the chat in Polish.
So keep in mind that in case of difficulties, you should not count on quick support.

If you don't know the code from both buildings (A, B) main doors, it needs an additional 5 minutes to walk.

  • Good apartment bad hosting – Jessica from United Kingdom – April 8, 2025 (6/10)

Location was amazing and apartment was beautiful. Really happy with the apartment.

What could be improved: Communication with the host was shocking. She messaged us the night before our stay to say our booking was invalid and then stopped replying when we were trying to sort it out. We arrived not knowing if we had a place to stay which caused much panic. Check in instructions were then sent to us very late and were complicated and host did not reply to any messages during our stay.

  • Kazimiersz magic – Jukka from Finland – December 13, 2024 (8/10)

    The apartment itself was very nice.Clean,kithchenware all what you needed,big balcony,good toilet,silent etc.About 30 min. walk to Old Town,Stare Miasto,but if you like Kazimiersz,like me,its perfect!except…..

What could be improved: TheBED!Big pillows were really dead!!Mattrass was from the last century and believe or not…NO BED SHEET at all, only a froteeing mattrass cover!!You have to go in with all 6 doors when you are inside the room,it made a little difficulties in the beginning before you get use to it.I would even come again there, but Joanna please, buy a new bed and stuff!!

  • Wonderful – Joan from Spain – March 11, 2025 (9/10)

Once settled in, we had a great time. The apartments are well located, new, clean and well equipped. Highly recommended.

What could be improved: We had problems at the reception, as no one could communicate in English or any language other than Polish.

  • Exceptional – Sylwia from Poland – August 9, 2024 (10/10)

    Spacious, clean and comfortable apartment.

What could be improved: All good.

  • Absolutely dreadful for a non-Polish visitor. – Stephen from United Kingdom – June 10, 2024 (2/10)

Lose to the centre of town Location is very good

What could be improved: Hopeless – non-existence reception! Was impossible to find the address even with local help. Phoned the Tel No given, but it did not answer for a long while. When it did, the voice could only speak Polish. Local restaurant's manager helped me out, with the phone. Even for him, the instructions on where to find the key PLUS a code, and yet another key, were not easy to follow! The organiser was not prepared to come to meet me at the property. So with the local restaurant's manager helping me out, I eventually got into the room! Took over an hour – a dreadful experience. Without local Polish help, I could not have managed it. Also, if I had a larger than average car, it would not have been possible to enter the garage, which I paid for in advance.

  • Wonderful – Panek from United Kingdom – June 8, 2024 (9/10)

  • Wonderful – Panek from United Kingdom – June 8, 2024 (9/10)

    Great location. Great host.

  • The location was where I needed to be. It was fine for a few nights stay. – Betty from United States – March 5, 2025 (5/10)

    The neighborhood was good.

What could be improved: The TV did not work. When I inquired about how to get channels to appear around 10pm, I was told that it was too late to contact them about it.

  • Very Poor – Dariusz from United Kingdom – May 16, 2024 (2/10)

Never seen apartment as cancelled few hours before

What could be improved: As above, has been cancelled by reception couple of hours before movement. Earlier information or more organisation would be appreciated as I was in bad condition after removing my tooth so half dead I had to look for another place…
