OLD NEW – Prime Location on Main Square Overview
You know what struck me first about OLD NEW? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re standing in front of it. Here’s this beautifully restored building that’s clearly got some serious history behind it, but they’ve done something really smart with the renovation – keeping all the character while making sure your phone charger actually works and the shower has decent pressure. I mean, you’re literally steps from the main square, which honestly is both a blessing and something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. During the day it’s this lovely buzz of locals grabbing coffee and tourists figuring out their maps, but it does quiet down pretty nicely after about 10 PM.
The location is genuinely unbeatable – I’m talking maybe thirty seconds to walk to the main square, where you’ll find yourself people-watching from one of those cafe terraces whether you planned to or not. What I really appreciated though was how the staff seemed to actually know their neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab breakfast that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point to their restaurant (which, fair enough, looked decent) but actually drew a little map to this bakery two streets over where locals line up for pastries. That kind of local knowledge makes a difference, you know? The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid three-star – nothing fancy but everything works, and they’ve managed to maintain some of that old-world charm in the details. The floors creak a little bit, but in that cozy way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual character rather than some cookie-cutter chain.
Here’s the thing about the 8.4 rating – it feels right. This isn’t trying to be a luxury experience, and honestly, that works in its favor. The elevator is one of those tiny European ones that fits maybe two people if you’re friendly, parking isn’t included but there’s a public garage about a two-minute walk away, and breakfast is simple but fresh. What really sells it is that prime location without the prime location price tag. You’re right in the thick of things when you want to be, but step inside and it feels like you’ve got your own little retreat. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to actually experience the city center rather than just visit it during the day and retreat somewhere sterile at night.
Apartments in Krakow provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional Galician specialties.

We loved the property's fantastic location just off the Old Square, making it easy to explore the area. The beds and pillows were incredibly cosy, ensuring a great night's sleep. The cool kitchen-dining space with a TV was a great place to relax, and the children especially loved the high bed, which added a fun touch to their stay.

The location couldn't be any better for exploring the Old Town, Main Square and everything it has to offer. It is about a 1 minute walk away without the noise and night life interrupting a quiet evening indoors.
The main bedroom was comfortable with a second on a mezzanine floor via a wooden ladder.
A comfy sofa with a dining table and chairs in the main living area.
The kitchenette was adequate for our needs, but we did eat out most of our visit.Catherine from United Kingdom (7/10)
