Old Time Apartments Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Old Time Apartments? The name honestly had me expecting some dated, musty place with questionable plumbing – but I was completely wrong. This turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you stumbled onto something the guidebooks missed.
The building has this authentic character that you just can’t fake – thick walls that actually keep the street noise out (which is saying something), and these gorgeous old windows that let in amazing natural light. I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but whoever’s running this operation really gets what travelers actually want. The apartments are spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living in a shoebox, and they’ve managed to blend vintage charm with modern essentials without making it feel forced. The kitchen setups are particularly well thought out – proper counter space, decent-sized fridge, and all the little things like a good coffee maker and sharp knives that most places somehow forget about.
What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the mix of things. The staff seems to actually live in the area and know their stuff – they gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on, not just the usual tourist traps. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly complicated key card nonsense. I honestly can’t figure out why this place doesn’t have more stars, because the attention to detail is better than most 4-star hotels I’ve stayed at. The cleaning is thorough (you can tell because the bathroom actually smells clean, not just like industrial air freshener), and maintenance issues get handled quickly. Even little touches like having extra blankets readily available and proper blackout options for the windows show someone’s thinking about what guests actually need. The 9.0 rating makes total sense once you spend a night there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works without any drama, which honestly is all most of us really want when we’re traveling.

Next time in krakow I will be back again for sureUncleanjoe from United States (9/10)
Cute little apartment with a loft bed. It was a bit outside the old center of Krakow, so very quiet at night, but still easy to reach from the train station. Perfect for one of two people, and it even had a TV and couch!

Great location within a short walk of the Old Town. The host Miroslaw was communicative and provided clear instruction for checking in. Apartment was clean, well lit and had blackout curtains (which I appreciate in the morning as a light sleeper!). Shower was strong and the bathroom had underfloor heating, which was welcome after a chilly day of exploring the city. Would recommend.

The location is ok. I liked the fact that you are close to everything. It is a good value for money, but it is also not for everybody to stay there.

Location, facilities, appearance and the communication was fab. Early check in was a bonus allowing us to dump the bags and enjoy the market without the case.
