The address alone tells you everything – 6 Garbarska puts you right in the thick of medieval Krakow, but somehow this place manages to feel like a peaceful refuge from all the tourist chaos happening literally outside your door. I mean, you’re a two-minute walk from the Main Square, but when you’re up in your apartment, it’s surprisingly quiet for being so central.

The thing about these M Apartments is they’ve figured out how to do that tricky balance between old-world charm and actually functioning like a modern place to stay. The building itself has that gorgeous Krakow character – thick walls, interesting architectural details – but your apartment comes with a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and prayer), decent wifi, and honestly, better design sense than most hotels charging twice as much. I stayed here during the shoulder season in October, and while the Old Town was still packed with tour groups during the day, evenings felt almost intimate. You can grab groceries at the Żabka around the corner or hit up one of those little pierogi spots on Floriańska that the locals actually frequent.

What really sells this place for me is the independence factor. You’re not dealing with hotel lobby small talk or breakfast buffet timing – you’ve got your own space to spread out, cook if you want to, or just collapse after a long day exploring Wawel Castle (which, by the way, is about a seven-minute walk down some very pretty cobblestone streets). The 9.2 rating makes sense when you experience the details they get right – good water pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and that rare thing in Old Town accommodations: enough space to open your suitcase without rearranging furniture. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but that’s the trade-off for being able to stumble home from a late dinner at Pod Aniołami without navigating public transport or expensive taxi rides. Honestly, after staying at a few cramped hotel rooms in European city centers, having an actual apartment in this location felt almost too good to be true.

  It’s a nice, modern flat, in the center of city, air conditioning was working perfectly, and was nice that it was switched on before we entered the property, cause it was extremely hot outside. There is all what you need for the short stay. And a big thank you to Jacek, he was so helpful from the beginning of our journey. We will definitely be back next time!
