I mean, you’re literally steps from the main square – I could hear the fountain from my window, which sounds annoying but is actually kind of soothing at night when things quiet down. During the day, you get all the energy of the old town without being right in the thick of tourist chaos. The square gets pretty busy around 10 AM when the tour groups start rolling in, but if you’re an early riser like me, you can grab coffee from that little café on the corner (the one with the blue awning – locals go there) and have the whole place almost to yourself. There’s something magical about watching a historic square wake up, you know?

The room itself has this perfect balance of old-world charm and modern comfort that’s hard to pull off. They’ve kept original details like the exposed beams and stone accents, but everything actually works – the shower has great pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the air conditioning is quietly effective (crucial if you’re visiting in summer). I particularly loved the window setup; it opens wide enough to lean out and people-watch, but the glass is thick enough that you can shut out the noise when you want to sleep in. Check-in was smooth too – the front desk guy knew the area inside and out and gave me restaurant recommendations that were actually good, not just the touristy spots that probably give them kickbacks. The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can be tricky since you’re in the old town center, but there’s a decent public garage about a three-minute walk away, and honestly, once you’re here you won’t need your car much anyway. For a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it absolutely delivers – it feels more like staying in a well-appointed local residence than a generic hotel, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to soak up the authentic atmosphere of a historic area.
