You know what, the Old Town Standard Studio caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, when you hear “standard studio,” you’re not exactly expecting anything that’ll blow your mind, right? But honestly, this place has figured out how to do the basics really, really well. It’s one of those 4-star spots that feels like it’s trying harder than some of the fancier hotels I’ve stayed at – and actually succeeding.

The thing is, they’ve nailed that sweet spot between being polished and feeling lived-in. The studio setup works perfectly if you’re not planning to spend your entire trip holed up in your room (which, let’s face it, you probably shouldn’t be anyway). There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the little kitchenette area is actually functional – not just some sad mini-fridge with a broken coffee maker situation. I appreciated that they included proper coffee, too, not those weird packets that taste like cardboard. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure and towels that don’t feel like sandpaper. Small victories, but they add up.

What really sold me was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner recommendations, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a generic brochure – he asked what I was in the mood for and pointed me toward this little spot two blocks over that I never would’ve found otherwise. That kind of local knowledge makes a huge difference when you’re trying to get a feel for a place. The location itself puts you right in the thick of things without being so central that you’re dealing with constant noise and chaos. You can walk to most of the main attractions, but you’re also on a street where locals actually live and work, which I always prefer. Check-in was smooth – no drama, no weird surprises about fees or policies. They even let me stash my bags early since I’d arrived before the official time, which saved me from wandering around with my suitcase like a lost tourist. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the 7-out-of-10 rating feels about right – there are definitely shinier options out there. But sometimes you don’t need shiny. Sometimes you just need a place that gets the fundamentals right, doesn’t nickel-and-dime you, and makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere that actually belongs in the neighborhood instead of some generic chain that could be anywhere in the world.

  Mieszkanie funkcjonalne, w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji, dzięki położeniu od podwórka było cicho. Super, że jest klimatyzacja. Mimo kilku niedogodności, polecam.
