Once Upon a Time in Cracow – Old Town Apartment Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Once Upon a Time in Cracow – Old Town Apartment feels like stepping into one of those fairy tale stories you’d actually want to live in. I mean, the name isn’t just clever marketing — there’s something genuinely magical about finding this three-star gem tucked away on Mostowa Street. The building itself has that weathered charm you only get in Kraków’s Old Town, where every stone seems to whisper stories from centuries past.

Location Magic

Honestly, you can’t get much more central than this without literally sleeping in the Main Market Square. The location score of 9.7 isn’t just numbers on a screen — it’s the reality of stepping out your door and being surrounded by Gothic churches, medieval walls, and cobblestone streets that lead everywhere you actually want to go. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “in the heart” of cities, but this one delivers. You know what’s really nice? Couples seem to get it — they’re rating the location 9.6, and I totally understand why.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup works brilliantly for travelers who want more than just a standard hotel room. You get that sense of living like a local, even if it’s just for a few nights. The space feels authentic to the building’s character — none of that sterile, over-renovated feeling you sometimes get in historic properties. There’s enough room to spread out your things and actually relax, which matters more than you’d think after long days of sightseeing.

What Makes It Work

The 9.4 rating tells you most of what you need to know, but here’s what I noticed — it’s the little things that add up. The building’s location on the second floor means you’re elevated just enough to feel removed from street noise, but you’re still connected to the energy below. The Old Town can get touristy (let’s be honest), but staying here feels more like you’re part of the neighborhood rather than just passing through. Plus, having your own space means you can grab groceries from the local markets and prepare simple meals if you want a break from restaurant dining.

Why Guests Love It

What really strikes me is how this place manages to balance authenticity with comfort — not always easy in a historic district where some accommodations feel like museums you sleep in. The fact that couples consistently rave about it suggests there’s something romantic about the whole experience, and I get that. There’s something about waking up in your own little corner of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities that just feels right. You’re not just visiting Kraków — you’re briefly living in it, and that makes all the difference.

Krakow’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with historical character, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this beautifully preserved Polish city.

This is extremely amazing apartment: central, beautifully designed, nice equipped, bright, clean & comfortable. Actually apartment looks even better than in photos. All the details are made with great love. Possibility to park car (paid parking) on the street and all Kazimierz & old town reachable on foot. Easy self check in/out.

  • Beate from Germany (10/10)

The appartement was such a nice refugium! Everything is arranged so thoughtfully: special esthetics, cosy and warm! I just felt at home, due also to the extraordinary hospitality of Dawid and Patricia, who were immediately available when I needed help: all my compliments! Visiting Krakow can be very tiring and it was so good to have a place where you feel at ease. If ever I can come back to Krakow, I hope to have the chance to be hosted in "Once upon a time" again!

  • Pablo0 from Poland (9/10)

Lokalizacja jest idealna. Praktycznie samo centrum Krakowa. Blisko do komunikacji miejskiej. W pobliżu jest mnóstwo restauracji. Stary Rynek i Wawel również rzut beretem.
Mieszkanie w czystej kamienicy. W środku jest cicho. Za oknami trochę głośniej, ale to uroki pobliskich lokali.

  • Różańska from Poland (8/10)

Lokalizacja, lokalizacja i LOKALIZACJA! Apartament piękny, duży, i przestronny, świeża czysta pościel. Zdecydowanie polecam! 🙂
