Once Upon a Time in Cracow – Old Town Apartment Overview
Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Once Upon a Time in Cracow,” I rolled my eyes a little. But you know what? This Old Town apartment actually lives up to the fairy tale vibe, and I mean that in the best possible way. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that you’re staying somewhere with actual character, not just another generic rental. The 9.4 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense – it’s earned through those little details that make you feel like you stumbled onto something special.
What really gets me is how perfectly positioned this place is for exploring Cracow’s medieval heart. I’m talking about being able to roll out of bed and walk to the Main Market Square in maybe five minutes, which honestly saved my life more than once when I was running late to meet friends. The morning sounds drifting through the windows are pure Old Town magic – church bells mixing with the clip-clop of horse carriages and the gentle hum of early risers heading to work. Sure, it can get a bit lively on weekend nights (you’re literally in the center of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, after all), but there’s something charming about falling asleep to the distant sounds of people enjoying themselves in the square.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile accommodation – there are books on the shelves, interesting artwork that looks like it was chosen with care, and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals. I spent one rainy afternoon making pierogi from scratch (ambitious, I know), and everything I needed was right there. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely or video call family back home, and the shower has proper water pressure – honestly, you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given in historic European apartments. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward key-passing-in-random-cafés situation. Even though it’s technically a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight in terms of comfort and location. I’ve stayed in fancier hotels that felt less welcoming and cost twice as much, so this one’s going straight into my “tell everyone about this place” category.
Krakow’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with historical character, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this beautifully preserved Polish city.

The appartement was such a nice refugium! Everything is arranged so thoughtfully: special esthetics, cosy and warm! I just felt at home, due also to the extraordinary hospitality of Dawid and Patricia, who were immediately available when I needed help: all my compliments! Visiting Krakow can be very tiring and it was so good to have a place where you feel at ease. If ever I can come back to Krakow, I hope to have the chance to be hosted in "Once upon a time" again!

Lokalizacja jest idealna. Praktycznie samo centrum Krakowa. Blisko do komunikacji miejskiej. W pobliżu jest mnóstwo restauracji. Stary Rynek i Wawel również rzut beretem.
Mieszkanie w czystej kamienicy. W środku jest cicho. Za oknami trochę głośniej, ale to uroki pobliskich lokali.Różańska from Poland (8/10)

Lokalizacja, lokalizacja i LOKALIZACJA! Apartament piękny, duży, i przestronny, świeża czysta pościel. Zdecydowanie polecam! 🙂
