So I stumbled upon P&J Apartments Floriańska during one of those frantic last-minute booking sessions, and honestly? Sometimes those snap decisions work out better than months of planning. The name gives it away – you’re right on Floriańska Street, which means you’re basically in the thick of Krakow’s Old Town action. I mean, you step outside and there’s this constant hum of tourists mixed with locals heading to work, street musicians setting up their spots, and the smell of obwarzanek (those bagel-like things) drifting from the vendors.

The apartment setup is pretty clever, actually. It’s one of those converted historic buildings where they’ve managed to squeeze modern comfort into centuries-old walls – you know the type, where the bathroom might be tucked into what used to be a closet, but somehow it all works. The 3-star rating is spot-on; you’re not getting luxury finishes or a concierge, but everything’s clean and functional. What really won me over was the location intelligence – you can walk to the Main Square in maybe three minutes, but you’re just far enough from the absolute tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. Well, most nights. Friday and Saturday evenings can get a bit lively with people spilling out of the bars, but honestly, that’s part of the Old Town experience.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me beforehand: the building entrance can be tricky to spot (look for the small sign, not some grand hotel lobby), and if you’re arriving by car, just forget about parking nearby. There’s a garage about a ten-minute walk away, which isn’t terrible but something to factor in. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around a reception desk. You get your keys, someone quickly shows you the quirks of the apartment, and you’re set. The 7.9 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re paying for versus where you are. You’re trading some hotel amenities for an unbeatable location and that authentic “living in Krakow” feeling. Plus, having a little kitchenette means you can grab fresh bread and cheese from the market stalls and have breakfast without paying hotel prices. It’s perfect for people who want to be in the center of everything but still have a quiet base to retreat to.

  The location is perfect, it can't be more central. Plenty of room, common area/living room in the apartment was great for board games and meals/drink's. We were able to leave our luggage in the office. And as we noticed an issue with the bad when we arrived, they came straight away and fixed.

  Brilliant location. I would highly recommend. Clean throughout and the staff showed how to get in and out etc and was on hand to help out when needed. There is also a small food place on the ground floor that does really lovely baguettes and the price is really good.

  Apartment was very spacious and the location was fantastic. Just a minute walk to the centre square. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower nice and powerful.
