I mean, sure, it’s officially a 3-star property, but honestly, the experience feels way more polished than that rating suggests. The 9.2 guest score isn’t some fluke either; this place just gets the fundamentals right in a way that makes you want to come back.

The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this immediately relaxed vibe that sets the tone for everything else. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (which is rarer than it should be), and they’ve got this knack for anticipating what you need without being pushy about it. I noticed they keep the common areas at just the right temperature – not that arctic blast you get in some hotels, but genuinely comfortable. The rooms have this lived-in quality that feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a sterile hotel box. The beds are seriously comfortable too, with that perfect firmness that doesn’t leave you tossing around all night, and the linens actually smell like they’ve been properly aired out, not just blasted with industrial detergent.

What really won me over, though, were all these little details that show someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience. The shower pressure is excellent – I know that sounds mundane, but after a long day of walking around, it matters more than you’d think. There’s proper blackout curtains that actually block light (revolutionary concept, right?), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every time you try to video call home. The soundproofing is solid too; even when the place is fully booked, you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway. They’ve also got this great approach to housekeeping where they’re thorough without being intrusive – your room gets properly cleaned, but they’re not barging in at 8 AM if you’ve forgotten to hang the “do not disturb” sign. Honestly, after staying here a few times, I’ve started to realize that Piedmont House has figured out something a lot of fancier places haven’t: sometimes the best luxury is just having everything work exactly like it should, without any drama or complications. It’s become my go-to recommendation for people who want a genuinely pleasant stay without paying resort prices or dealing with pretentious service.

  – Tram stop 4minutes away. Also easily accessible bus stops to Wieliczka and Zakopane.
  – Quite a few food places around with prices better than in the old town.
  – Laundry room downstairs. Includes washing machine, dryer and iron free of charge.
  – All kitchen utensils provided.

  I loved her clean and modern and safe i felt here. Check in was smooth and easy, with clear instructions. Beautiful location near the water, and we caught the tram into old town so smoothly and easily. Heating and hot water was wonderful and a gorgeous balcony.
