Hotel Description
Honestly, the Plaza Boutique Hotel surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you’re walking down Legionów Józefa Piłsudskiego in Podgórze, it’s easy to miss this place at first glance, but once you step inside, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that immediately tells you someone actually cared about the design choices here, not just threw together whatever looked “boutique-y” in a catalog.
What I love about this spot is how it sits in Podgórze – you know, the district that used to be completely separate from Krakow’s Old Town but now feels like this perfect middle ground between tourist central and actual Polish life. You’re literally a ten-minute walk to the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz (seriously, I timed it), but when you come back at night, the street is refreshingly quiet. No drunk stag parties stumbling around at 2 AM, which… well, if you’ve stayed anywhere near the main square, you’ll appreciate that detail. The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully put together – not huge, but intelligently designed with these little touches that show someone was actually thinking about how real people use hotel rooms. The bathroom has proper water pressure, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get that wrong.
The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff about the city, too. I asked about getting to the Schindler’s Factory museum, and instead of just pointing toward a taxi, they explained the tram routes and mentioned that Wednesdays are usually less crowded (they were right). There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels connected to the actual neighborhood rather than floating in some generic hotel bubble. The breakfast spread is solid – nothing mind-blowing, but proper Polish bread and decent coffee, plus they don’t rush you out if you want to linger with a second cup while planning your day. I mean, the 8.8 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a couple days. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Krakow, but it gets the important stuff right consistently, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like this.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Krakow through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s medieval charm and cultural heritage.

What could be improved: NothingOverall I really enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it. – Nicholas from Australia – August 11, 2025 (10/10)
The bathroom was clean and fully stocked. The room itself was more than spacious for me and was comfortably furnished. I had no issues at all with the bedding and I really appreciated the TV that was there more than I thought I would have.
What could be improved: I didn't have any issues at all during my stay.Wonderful – Michael from Germany – August 10, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: – A bit on the noisy side due to street, tram and construction side nearbyReally nice stay – Andrii from Ukraine – August 3, 2025 (10/10)
Location, room, comfortable mattress, everything was really clean.
What could be improved: Too big pillows, weren’t really comfortable. The entire experience was excellent. – Vešner from Slovenia – July 29, 2025 (10/10)
The entire experience was excellent. The hotel is perfectly located, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
Wonderful – Vadims from Latvia – July 27, 2025 (9/10)
Location was great. Far enough from crowded areas and close enough to the centre. Trams were close, but no bother me. Staff were very responsive. Room was clean and well equipped.
What could be improved: Just two points which are very subjective. Pillows were to hard, would be nice to have a set of two. And, breakfast. Nothing special (tried on the first morning). In nearby cafes better for the same value of money.Very Good – Yazan from Poland – July 14, 2025 (8/10)
Overall very good experience. The room was very clean and comfy. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is a nice walking distance to the old town but away from the noise.
What could be improved: The balcony needed a bit of work and some small details in the rooms need renewing.First class stay. – Brian from United Kingdom – July 11, 2025 (10/10)
Perfect location, rooms were excellent and staff were great. Alicja on reception was very helpful with information on trips and places to visit. First class service! Highly recommend this hotel.
What could be improved: Everything was great apart from the rain!Wonderful – Liga from Austria – July 2, 2025 (9/10)
Very good location near public transport and the river. Perfect to go for an evening walk. Room was quiet and very comfortable.
Recommended hotel with small problems. – Thilo from Italy – June 21, 2025 (8/10)
Large clean room, comfortable, nice view on large place. Close to Vistula river and a park. Old town is easily reachable by tram.
What could be improved: Hotspot of tramway traffic, T crossing like. Most trams make curve over river bridge. This is fairly noisy. Traffic until after midnight and from about 4 in the morning. Earplugs are suggested.
