The kitchens aren’t just for show (I actually cooked breakfast a couple mornings), and the living areas have that perfect balance where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re rattling around in some cavernous suite. What I loved most was the attention to details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two – proper closet space, decent water pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light. I stayed during what seemed like a pretty busy period, but never felt rushed or like I was bothering anyone with questions. The soundproofing is surprisingly good too – I could hear life happening in the hallways occasionally, but it felt more like friendly apartment building sounds than disruptive hotel noise. Honestly, by day three I was already planning my next trip back and specifically looking at Portal House’s availability first. It’s the kind of place that spoils you for those generic business hotels where everything feels sanitized and temporary. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a home base rather than just a place to crash, this is absolutely worth the splurge.

  A wonderful place to stay. It is in the very centre, next to Rynek Glowny. The hotel also provided us with a parking place in the parking lot some 500 metres away for a discounted price. The staff very kind and helpful.

  I liked the fact that there was no cleaning service every single day, only when we needed it. Location was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was a surprise, just what we needed to eat every day. Not much but not little 🥰, quality of the food was very good and everything was cooked the same day. Coffee was very good as well. When we had to leave really early for a tour, , they were happy to prepare us "breakfast to go" and give us coffee and water as well. I highly recommend this place.

  Very close to Rynek Gluvny and to all things you may need…. Shops, Restaurants, Museum…. Just nice walking in beautiful Krakow. Nice room with Balcony!!!!!! Very nice staff. Thank you very much. We will come again!!!!!

  The location is excellent right next to the square in the old town , room was beautiful and a great bathroom with a power shower, mini bar, breakfast was lovely and the staff was very friendly , 24 hrs reception , spotlessly clean, great little place would go back 😀
