Premium in Novum City Center, Sun & Snow Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Krakow, and the Premium in Novum City Center honestly caught me off guard – in a good way. You know how sometimes a hotel name sounds a bit generic? Well, don’t let that fool you here. This place sits right on Rakowicka Street, which means you’re actually in the heart of Old Town but on one of those quieter side streets that locals use as shortcuts. I mean, you can walk to the Main Square in maybe five minutes, but you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM.

The building itself has that restored historic charm that Krakow does so well – you know, where they kept the beautiful facade but completely modernized everything inside. When I checked in, the lobby had this warm lighting that immediately made me feel like I’d made the right choice. The staff spoke excellent English (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given even at four-star places), and they actually knew the neighborhood. Like, when I asked about good breakfast spots, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a tourist map – he told me about this little bakery two blocks over that opens at 6:30 and makes incredible obwarzanki.

What really impressed me was how they handled the details. The rooms are properly soundproofed, which matters when you’re this close to everything. I stayed on the third floor and barely heard any street noise, even with the windows open. The bathroom was one of those modern setups with a rain shower that actually has good water pressure – you’d be surprised how rare that combination is. And honestly? The bed was fantastic. I’m usually a light sleeper in hotels, but I slept straight through every night.

Here’s something that caught my attention: they’ve got this small courtyard area that most guests probably don’t even notice, but it’s perfect for making phone calls or just getting some air without going all the way outside. The Wi-Fi reached out there too, which was clutch when I needed to handle some work stuff. Also, if you’re driving, there’s parking available (though you’ll want to book it ahead – Old Town parking is always tricky), and if you’re not, the tram stop on Krakowska is literally a three-minute walk.

The breakfast deserves a mention too – it’s not some massive buffet situation, but everything they had was actually good quality. Fresh bread, local cheeses, decent coffee. You know what I mean? Sometimes smaller is better. Plus, they accommodated my friend’s gluten-free needs without making a big production about it.

I guess what struck me most was that this place gets the balance right. You’re staying somewhere that feels genuinely Polish and historic, but with all the modern comforts you want. The location means you can walk everywhere important – Wawel Castle, the Jewish Quarter, all those great restaurants on Grodzka Street. But when you come back at night, it feels peaceful and residential rather than like you’re sleeping above a party district. For a four-star place in this location, the value is really solid.

Reviews of Premium in Novum City Center, Sun & Snow

  • brilliant stay – Jacek from United Kingdom – March 20, 2025 (9/10)

very good location and comfy flat, clean and cosy

What could be improved: I struggled a little bit to find the flat. The address was 20J/128; however, the J is related to the building itself, not to the staircase. So the correct and precise address should be Street name 20, then building J, staircase (c), and flat number.

  • Krakow Trip – Anne from Ireland – November 29, 2024 (8/10)

    Location, Security, comfortable beds,

What could be improved: the rubbish bins in another block. No tea towel to dry ware. couldn't fault another thing.

  • Great apartment – Kelly from United Kingdom – October 3, 2024 (10/10)

had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our trip

What could be improved: nice and quiet but a bit of a walk into main areas.

  • Very Good – Greg from United States – September 12, 2024 (8/10)

    Location and quality.

What could be improved: Hidden charges.

  • Exceptional – Magdalena from United States – July 8, 2024 (10/10)

From start to finish, our experience with The Sun & Snow was the best and easiest we've ever had. We were even able to check in early without any issues, which was incredibly convenient. Communication with the hosts was excellent and fast, ensuring a smooth process throughout our stay.

We've been booking through Sun & Snow for over a year now, and every time, it's a fantastic experience. One of the great advantages is that their office is nearby, making it easy to stop by and ask any questions.

The apartment is located in a very nice, brand-new community. Despite being close to the train station, the neighborhood is very quiet. The apartment is also located very close to the Old Town Kraków, with everything conveniently nearby. The apartment itself is spacious, very clean, and features modern furniture and great design, making our stay very pleasant.

It has everything you could possibly need, from kitchen appliances and plates to a washer and iron. It truly feels like a home away from home.

I will continue to book only through Sun & Snow—they are top-notch.

What could be improved: Everything was perfect!

  • Wonderful – Deborah from Germany – May 6, 2024 (9/10)

Very new, had everything you needed and very quiet. Little shops around and within a 15min walk from the center. Perfect for a small family (playground right around the corner too)

What could be improved: One of the doors didn't stay close and getting the key and garage door opener was a bit complicated (need to go to the reception in the apartment complex but no space to park in front while getting the keys). But that's very minor

  • Exceptional – Ma from Philippines – April 20, 2024 (10/10)

Apartment layout, appliances, ammenities and location

    What could be improved: None

  • Exceptional – Josh from United Kingdom – April 19, 2024 (10/10)

Apartment was very clean and great value for money. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in the apartment.

What could be improved: Everything was great, apart from there weren't any washing tablets for the washing machine

  • Safe building good security – Lynne from United Kingdom – September 24, 2023 (9/10)

    Very spacious and clean

What could be improved: All seem ok only one concern better lighting around grounds

  • Exceptional – Shiela from United Kingdom – April 25, 2023 (10/10)

very well equipped, 10mins to railway station
