Hotel Description

So I stayed at the Radisson RED in Kraków a few months back, and honestly? I was skeptical at first – you know how chain hotels can be sort of soulless, especially in cities with so much character. But this place actually gets it right. The moment you walk in, there’s this vibrant, almost playful energy that feels completely different from your typical business hotel. The design is bold without being obnoxious – lots of red accents (obviously), but mixed with industrial touches that somehow work perfectly in Kraków’s eclectic landscape.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to feel both modern and connected to the city. The staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the local scene, not just the touristy bits. I mean, the concierge pointed me toward this tiny pierogi place tucked away in a courtyard that I never would have found on my own – and it ended up being one of my best meals there. The rooms themselves are well thought out too. Mine was on the sixth floor, and while it wasn’t huge, everything had its place. The bed was actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the bathroom had this rainfall shower that I may have lingered in longer than necessary. The apartments option is smart if you’re staying longer – I noticed families checking in who seemed pretty happy with the setup.

Location-wise, you’re in a sweet spot. It’s close enough to the Old Town that you can easily walk there, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups right outside your window. The area gets lively in the evenings but settles down by around midnight, so you can actually sleep. Parking was surprisingly painless too – they have an underground garage, which in a city like Kraków is basically gold. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 2 PM since they seemed swamped earlier in the day. One small thing – the elevators can be slow during peak times, but honestly, that’s pretty minor when everything else works so well. The 9-star rating makes sense when you experience the whole package. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails what most travelers actually want: comfort, style, and a genuine connection to where you’re staying.

  Clean, modern, quiet. 5 minute walk from the tram stop into old town. Hotel rooms are large and modern, with nice coffee machine. It's really good price and value for money.

  Lovely contemporary hotel and as a bonus we were upgraded to superior room. Staff were friendly and showed fantastic customer care. A member of the party was injured and staff were so helpful providing a wheelchair for the stay and arranging a taxi to the hospital. Evening menu in the restaurant was very good. Once we got our bearings the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the city centre.
