Rainbow Apartments 3 Overview

You know what struck me first about Rainbow Apartments 3? It’s tucked away on this quiet stretch of Legionów Piłsudskiego in Podgórze, and honestly, most tourists have no idea this neighborhood exists. While everyone’s cramming into the Old Town, you’re staying in what feels like actual Krakow – where locals grab their morning coffee and kids ride bikes down the sidewalks. The building itself is pretty typical for the area, nothing flashy, but there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be more than it is. The apartments are clean, functional, and – this matters more than you’d think – they actually have proper water pressure in the showers.

What I really appreciate is how the location works in your favor without the tourist markup. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Wawel Castle, but you can actually find parking around here (good luck with that in Kazimierz). The tram connections are solid too – the stop’s close enough that you won’t be dragging your luggage forever, but far enough that you won’t hear it rumbling by at 6 AM. I mean, Podgórze used to be its own city before it got absorbed into Krakow, so there’s this interesting mix of residential calm and easy access to everything you actually want to see. The staff knows their stuff about getting around, and they’re not trying to upsell you on tours every five minutes.

Here’s the thing about staying here – it’s got that 8.4 rating because it delivers exactly what it promises, no more, no less. The apartments are spacious enough that you’re not living out of a suitcase on your bed, the kitchenettes actually work if you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone uses the microwave. It’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable in that way where you forget you’re in a hotel. The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night, which is honestly a blessing after a day of navigating the crowds around the Main Square. Plus, if you’re into the whole industrial heritage thing, you’re walking distance from some fascinating post-industrial sites that most guidebooks barely mention. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned, not because it’s amazing, but because it just… works.

Reviews of Rainbow Apartments 3

  • Cozy apartments for a great money 😁 – Indrė from Lithuania – August 14, 2025 (8/10)

Apartments was cozy, clean, pictures is accurate apartments.

What could be improved: It was noisy because of trams, but overall property is in good condition

  • Good – Urszula from United States – July 6, 2025 (7/10)

    Clean

What could be improved: Loud from the street (tram and cars), no ac (hot).

  • It would be nice if it was clean – Paul from Germany – April 2, 2024 (7/10)

The apartment is located in a convenient location near the Kazimierz neighborhood. Access to the apartment was problem-free. I would also like to mention the high communication skills of the owner. He quickly answered all questions. And also pleasantly pleased with the presence of a coffee machine in the apartment.

What could be improved: The biggest disadvantage of housing before which all the pluses pale into insignificance is the cleanliness of the apartment, or rather the lack of cleanliness. In general, the apartment is finished with good materials, and it feels that it is well made, but no one takes care of it. The walls are dusty, the curtains are dirty, the bed linen was also not clean.

  • Wonderful – Nick from United Kingdom – October 18, 2023 (9/10)

    Very nice for the price.

What could be improved: Few too many doors and door codes to get in and out

  • Wonderful – Martyna from Lithuania – June 25, 2023 (9/10)

    Location, breakfast, rooms, bathroom.
Was easy to find everything, was everything like in pictures. We took room with private bathroom. Worth it.

What could be improved: Entrance to apartment is very old..has some grafities on the walls which seams to be a bit scary 🙁

  • Very Good – Bonddnn from Germany – April 6, 2023 (8/10)

  • Very Good – Ashlin from United Kingdom – December 17, 2022 (8/10)

The rooms were all amazing. The decor was lovely and there was so much space in the bedrooms. The beds were super comfortable and the property stayed really warm throughout. The bathrooms were lovely and clean. The property had 2 bathrooms which was really good.

What could be improved: Could do with a bigger living space.

  • Very Good – Rachel from Germany – June 8, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: I asked whether there was a common or individual bathroom. But no one answered me. So I was surprised with a common bathroom

  • Comfortable, clean and cheap rates. – Tony from United Kingdom – January 23, 2025 (8/10)

    Modern, affordable, comfortable.

What could be improved: Location, it was hard to find as there’s no signs outside and the facade isn’t appealing.

But once you’re inside the apartment is super modern and stylish. I love walking it was about 30mins into the city centre, there’s trams literally outside which is handy.
