Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Rainbow Apartments Old Town when I first booked it – the name sounds a bit generic, honestly – but walking up to Floriańska 29 completely changed my perspective. This street is actually one of those perfect Old Town locations where you’re literally steps from the main square but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups at 7 AM. The building itself has that classic Krakow charm (you know, the kind with thick walls that actually keep street noise out), and I was genuinely surprised by how quiet my room was considering we’re talking about the heart of the tourist district here.
The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s stylish city flat than a typical hotel room, which I mean in the best possible way. Everything’s been updated without losing that European character – you’ll find proper wooden floors, decent-sized windows that actually open (a godsend in summer), and kitchenettes that are functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco Express around the corner instead of eating out every meal. What really impressed me was the attention to small details… like, the wifi actually works well enough for video calls, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase for a week. The whole place just feels thoughtfully put together rather than thrown together, if that makes sense.
Here’s the thing about staying on Floriańska – you’re essentially living like a local in one of the most touristy areas of Krakow, which is honestly pretty perfect. I could walk to Cloth Hall in about three minutes, but I could also duck into Pod Aniolami (this tiny restaurant locals actually go to) or grab morning coffee from the little place next to St. Mary’s before the crowds hit. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury-level fancy, it delivers on everything that actually matters when you’re exploring a city like this. Check-in was smooth, the staff knew their stuff about the neighborhood, and honestly, after staying in some overpriced hotels in European old towns, the value here feels pretty spot-on. If you’re the type who wants to experience Krakow rather than just pass through it, and you appreciate having your own space to decompress after long days of sightseeing, this place gets it right.

Reviews
Wish we could have stayed longer – Jaine from Australia – July 6, 2025 (9/10)
Location can't be beat and it has everything you need
What could be improved: The actual address was different to the one listed on booking.com so pay attention to communications with the owner! Our only other issue was carrying luggage up three flights but that is standard in old towns.Great value & location! – Lauren from Ireland – June 24, 2025 (7/10)
Perfect location right in the centre of the old town, 2 minute walk from the main square! Apartment was clean, good size and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars.
What could be improved: The apartment was above a nightclub so music could be heard from the room. Didn’t bother us too much but might not be great for light sleepers. Lots of steps up to the apartment, may not suit those with mobility issues.Very Good – Madalina from Romania – June 21, 2025 (8/10)
It has a very good location, has a great coffee machine, a hairdryer, an iron, a lot of facilities.
What could be improved: It is not very spacious and the entrance is not nice at all. Also, there’s a lot of noise at night.Awesome apartment – I highly recommend staying here – Wendy from New Zealand – June 13, 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was right in the old town, which made it great for sightseeing. The apartment had everything we needed and more. There was a washing machine available and Netflix, which was welcomed on a rainy afternoon.
What could be improved: Having to carry our bags up and down the stairsWonderful – Toms from Latvia – May 28, 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was literally in the old town – excellent location. And the breakfast option was superb – very close by, friendly and delicious!
What could be improved: Would've been helpful to provide more detailed parking instructions.Excellent. No complaints! – Gillian from United Kingdom – April 16, 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location, although a little noisy outside on the Friday night.

The stuff was exceeding our expectations! Everyone, including the next door neighbour shop were extremely helpful and kind! They left that wonderful memory making us want to come back again. Thank you so much!
Location is AWESOME! You are right in the heart of it all, fantastic! Don't be put off my the staircase, its an old building which requires work doing, once you in the apartment it's great. Comfy beds which is important!
Overall, we are very happy with our stay thank you.

Very quiet
Good sizeHighly recommend for 1-2 nights! – Jacob from United Kingdom – February 20, 2025 (9/10)
Great value for money – a bit of a squeeze for 3 lads in the room, but the kitchen was spacious. Very clean, and in the centre of it all. No general complaints
What could be improved: Small room, but great for a 1-2 night lay over.Really nice apartment, you really couldnt get a better location, next to the main square in the old town and 10 walk fro – Michelle from United Kingdom – February 14, 2025 (8/10)
Great apartment, clean, well equipped and excellent location. Very comfortable, and excellent value for money, we’d happily stay here again.
What could be improved: It’s situated above/next to a night club and noisy bar, so lots of noise into the night. Not all the apartments will be affected, but it was really noisy in our bedrooms into the small hours. I’m a light sleeper but did sleep fine with ear plugs. Excellent looking coffee machine, but it didn’t work when we were there.
