Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Rakowicka Oasis? The name actually makes sense – and I mean that as a compliment, because half the hotels in Krakow seem to throw “luxury” and “palace” around like confetti. This place sits on a quieter stretch of Rakowicka Street, just far enough from the Main Square chaos that you can actually sleep, but close enough that you’re walking to Cloth Hall in maybe eight minutes. The building itself has that solid, renovated feel – not trying too hard to be a medieval fantasy, just good bones with modern comfort layered in thoughtfully.
The rooms are honestly better than I expected for a four-star. I stayed there in September (great timing, by the way – warm days, cool nights, and the crowds thin out after the first week), and my room faced the courtyard, which meant blessed quiet. The beds are firm – Polish hotels tend to go that route – and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not doing some weird dance around your suitcase. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting; there’s this mix of warm overhead fixtures and reading lights that actually work, plus blackout curtains that mean business. The breakfast spread surprised me too – proper local cheeses, decent coffee (not always a given in Central Europe), and they had this honey that I’m pretty sure was from somewhere nearby, though I forgot to ask.
Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where locals actually live and work. There’s a small grocery store two blocks down on Długa that stays open late, and if you walk toward Planty Park, you’ll hit some of those smaller restaurants that don’t make it into guidebooks but serve better pierogi than the tourist traps around St. Mary’s. The staff seemed to get this – when I asked about dinner recommendations, they pointed me toward places on Józefa Street in Kazimierz rather than the obvious spots. Parking can be tricky (honestly, just use public transport or walk), but the tram stop is right there if you need to get to the train station or venture out to Nowa Huta or something. The 8.8 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works the way it should, the service is genuinely helpful without being pushy, and you’ll leave thinking you picked well. Plus, and this matters more than people admit, the WiFi actually reaches every corner of the building.

Excellent Apartment just like pictures online, when contacted the host got back straight away. – Paula from United Kingdom – July 31, 2025 (10/10)
Everything was great, sauna was lovely, not to far from the centre just cut through the train station straight into shopping centre which was good, then just a few minutes to the square.
What could be improved: Everything was fab, just the outside seating area in need of a good cleaning.A beautiful apartment to relax – Tracie from United Kingdom – July 20, 2025 (10/10)
Tastefully furnished
What could be improved: NothingOne of the best properties we have stayed in! – Michelle from United Kingdom – January 24, 2025 (10/10)
Beautifully decorated and very elegant. The lighting and finishing touches were fabulous. Comfortable beds and property was spotlessly clean and warm. Did not use the sauna, but the showers were amazing, as was the bath. Water temperature was always piping hot. Great location, we used BOLT to get about which was so cheap! Less than 10 mins ride from main market square. There is a little supermarket just a 2 min walk from property, which had all we needed and reasonably priced. I would say we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better!
What could be improved: We were very happy with the property, however a toaster and drying rack for clothes would have been appreciated.Exceptional – Colleen from United Kingdom – November 26, 2024 (10/10)
Lovely apartment communication very good and reception stayed on for our late check in
What could be improved: Nothing not to like. Very pleased with our stay
Not a huge problem as the local shop stays open until 11pm but might be nice to have a few items for late check ins. Some milk in the fridge etcNice apartment in the city – Nelmsteen from United Kingdom – November 9, 2024 (10/10)
A lovely apartment within walking distance of the city centre. Brilliant transport links. Great food nearby as well as a small supermarket.
The apartment has all the facilities you could want from a kitchenette incouding electric hob, fridge freezer and oven, living room, two bedrooms, one bathroom with a toilet, another with a shower, sauna and bath. Two TVs, a multiroom sound system, a balcony. It was great.
The sauna was amazing, and I really want one at home now..
Mariusz was on hand and quick to reply to all messages. We were allowed to check in early and also allowed to check out a bit later too. This was a huge help.
What could be improved: Personally, only negative for me was I'm a big guy, 195cm tall, and I had the double bed. It had two small duvets and found it hard to cover myself than if it was one large duvet. If one was provided, that would have been perfect.
Also, it took me a while to figure out the mirror behind the toilet is a cupboard containing toilet paper 😂 it would have been helpful if this was obvious. We loved the space since there were only two people. – Lillie from Bahrain – September 19, 2024 (9/10)
What could be improved: We didn’t like that there were no shelves in the bathroom with the toilet. Considering the size of the second bath a second toilet would have made sense. There was no bodysoap in one bath and no shampoo in either bathroom. Also, I saw Silverfish and small bugs in a couple of rooms.
This is an amazing property and really did make our stay! – Clare from United Kingdom – September 13, 2024 (10/10)
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August and it was incredible. It honestly is just like the photos! Everything was easy, including checking in and we managed a late checkout of 6pm for a fee.
We really did feel like we were staying in luxury and loved the big bath and sauna. The beds are comfy, bedding gorgeous and the place was spotless. We sat out at evening on the little balcony too. My daughter loved the light up wardrobes!
It is about 15/20 mins walk into the main square, which for us, wasn’t a problem. We liked the walk in and a bolt taxi back didn’t cost much at all. We will be back for sure!
What could be improved: We loved it all. Certainly the best kept secret compared to prices elsewhere for such a stunning apartment.Wonderful – Tanja from Finland – August 4, 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was very clean and beautiful. Location right next to shopping mall. Short walk to Old Town.
What could be improved: Floorwiper would have been good for wiping bathroom floor dry from water from tub and sauna.Wonderful – Nabeel from Saudi Arabia – June 22, 2024 (9/10)
Clean , good location
The owner was cooperative when I asked to change the pillows , he send new pillows the next day.
What could be improved: 1- when I choose the apartment I was looking for apartment with 2 bathrooms because we are 4 adults , but unfortunately this apartment has 2 bathroom but only one of the bathroom has toilet so, all of us has to use it which was not convenient.
2- There were no shampoo and shower gel and only one toilet paper roll.
3- some appliance need maintains in the bathrooms.Wonderful – Hanyin from Taiwan – April 3, 2025 (9/10)
The twin bed room’s window is not able to close very tight to avoid cold air.
