Résidence Tournet Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Résidence Tournet on Miodowa Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Kraków” feeling. This three-star property sits right in Old Town’s heart, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by centuries-old architecture and cobblestone streets that tourists dream about. The building itself has that classic Polish charm without trying too hard, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The neighborhood offers an authentic experience that captures the essence of Poland’s historic capital.
The Perfect Old Town Spot
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to basically everything that matters in Kraków. The Main Market Square is just a few minutes away, and you know what? You’ll actually want to take those evening strolls because the neighborhood is gorgeous. Couples especially seem to get this (they rate the location 9.5 out of 10), and I can see why. There’s something romantic about stepping out your door and being immediately immersed in medieval streets, plus you’re close enough to great restaurant that you won’t need to plan your meals around long commutes.
The Room Experience
The accommodations are what you’d expect from a solid three-star place — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. My room had that European apartment feel, which I actually prefer to cookie-cutter hotel setups. The windows face the historic street, so you get those charming Old Town views (though it can get a bit noisy during peak tourist season — just something to keep in mind). The furnishings are simple but well-maintained, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is buffet-style, which works perfectly when you’re planning a day of sightseeing. Nothing fancy, but they cover the basics well — fresh bread, local cheeses, and coffee that’ll actually wake you up. I appreciated having a proper meal before heading out to explore, especially since you’ll probably be doing a lot of walking around the Old Town. The dining area has a cozy, residential feel that matches the overall vibe of the place. The kitchen facilities are well-equipped for a property of this caliber.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.8 rating, Résidence Tournet clearly does something right, and from my experience, it’s the combination of authentic location and no-nonsense comfort. You’re not paying for unnecessary frills, but you’re getting exactly what matters most — a great spot in Kraków’s most atmospheric neighborhood. The staff knows the area well and can point you toward hidden gems that aren’t in every guidebook. If you want to feel like you’re actually staying in historic Kraków rather than just visiting it, this place delivers on that promise without breaking the bank. Parking is available nearby for guests with vehicles.

I was surprised at how nice a hotel it is for the low price I paid. The room was modern and clean, brand new bathroom with a shower and a bath tub. Comfortable bed. Really nice set up. There is a really great restaurant next door called Dong-A. Incredible food and teas. Whole neighborhood is full of great restaurants and bars and there is a 24 Carrefour on the corner.

I’ve stayed here several times over a lot of years . It’s family run . There is a lift to upper rooms . Lovely big rooms . Clean and cosy . Modern shower rooms . Good breakfast . Popular location ideal for exploring Krakow .
Very informative on reception .Marjo from Italy (9/10)
Loved the position, loved the privacy, loved the silence. It was my first alone-travel and i was a little bit nervous but The girl at the Reception it was so kind and so respectful. I ate breakfast 2times: most of the menù was saltie ( i prefer saltie breakfast so it was perfect ).
I notice the absense of doormat but I'm certain that if i asked they will bring it. ( In my modest opinion it had to be always present, expecially in winter where the snow do not help the shoes to be cleaned ).
If i will have the opportunity to go back in Krakow i will choose again this structure.Simon from United Kingdom (9/10)
The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need inside. The location is beside the main street and close to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was basic however had everything you need.
