You know what struck me first about Riverside Aparthotel? It’s tucked away on this quiet street in Debniki that most tourists completely miss, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute walk across the bridge to the Old Town, but you get to escape back to this peaceful residential area where actual Krakovians live their daily lives.

The aparthotel itself feels more like staying in a really well-designed apartment than a typical hotel room – and I actually mean that in the best way possible. Each unit has this proper kitchenette setup, which saved me a fortune on breakfast (there’s a Żabka convenience store right around the corner on Klimeckiego if you need supplies). The furnishings are modern without being sterile, sort of that Scandinavian-meets-Polish aesthetic that actually works. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even with windows open – Madalińskiego street doesn’t get much traffic, so you can actually sleep with fresh air coming in. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload all those Wawel Castle photos.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re positioned perfectly between the tourist chaos and real Krakow life. Walk five minutes toward the river and you hit this lovely path along the Wisła where locals jog and walk their dogs. Head the other direction and there’s this little cluster of cafes and shops that haven’t been discovered by the tour groups yet. The tram connections are actually better from here than from some of the pricier hotels in the center – tram 18 gets you anywhere you need to go, and it stops practically at your doorstep. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will appreciate. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping you figure out the city – they gave me this hand-drawn map with shortcuts to avoid the crowds on the Royal Route, which honestly made my whole trip better. That 9.4 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense; it reflects the kind of attention to detail that makes you want to come back. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should.

  Beautiful and spacious apartments. Good location, the old town is within walking distance. Noise from street (bridge) traffic is minimal, did not disturb sleep. The hotel has few parking spaces, located in the inner courtyard and need to be reserved in advance, but we easily parked another car on the street. We didn’t eat at the hotel because there were small groceries shops, bakeries, and breakfast cafés nearby.
  
  What could be improved: I didn’t manage to find the entrance to the hotel right away. The hotel sign was on the wall, but only the inner courtyard doors were clearly visible, and there was only a small note on the hotel door. But maybe it was just me who had trouble figuring it out 🙂 It was also indicated that there is an additional sleeping place – a sofa bed in the bedroom, but it was a fold-out from an armchair type and uncomfortable for sleeping.

  Brilliant location for river walks and not far into the old town . Spotlessly clean and everything was a good standard . Well laid out , good fittings ( eg soft close drawers , toilet lid and quality kettle ) , great shower , quiet , good a/c and fantastic staff .
  
  What could be improved: If we had to be really critical the blinds don’t totally cut out the light but that’s hard to achieve and we stayed in June – height of summer . I took an eye mask. Apart from that – Nothing – it was an excellent stay and we will return .
