Honestly, when I first walked up to Rzeszowska 5, I wasn’t expecting much – the building looks pretty standard from the street, you know? But apartment 12 completely changed my mind about what a four-star place in Krakow’s Old Town could be. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the heart of things without dealing with the absolute chaos around the Main Square. You’re literally a three-minute walk from all the tourist spots, but Rzeszowska Street itself is quiet enough that you can actually sleep at night (which, trust me, isn’t always guaranteed in this part of town).

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The apartment feels like someone actually lives there – I mean, there’s proper lighting for reading, the kitchen has real dishes instead of those flimsy hotel plates, and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which you’d be surprised how rare that is in these old buildings. The décor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the character of the space. You’ll find original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a 19th-century building, but the heating works perfectly and there’s solid Wi-Fi throughout. Check-in was smooth too – they actually met me at the apartment instead of making me hunt down some random office across town.

The thing about staying here is that you end up discovering parts of Old Town that most tourists miss. There’s this little café called Karma Coffee just around the corner on Grodzka Street that locals actually go to, and you’re close enough to the Jewish Quarter that you can easily walk over for dinner at one of the amazing restaurants on Szeroka Street. Parking can be tricky (it’s Old Town, what do you expect?), but they gave me solid advice about the paid zones and where to find spots that won’t break the bank. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you stay there – it’s one of those places that gets the details right without trying to be fancy about it. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentic but still comfortable, and you want to experience Krakow like you’re staying in a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than a generic hotel room, this is your spot.

  Located on the edge of the old Jewish district, we could walk there and then onto the river side or to the main square in the old town. We got the train to Krakow and then walked to the apartment from the train station.

  Het is een prachtig appartement met ruime slaapkamers, goede bedden. Alles is zo goed als nieuw. Een mooie keuken en badkamer.
  
  What could be improved: Het appartement ligt naast een spoorlijn. Als je met het raam open slaapt heb je serieus last van geluidsoverlast van de treinen die ook ik de nacht voorbij komen. Zodra het raam dicht is hoor je dit niet meer. Maar het was zo warm in de slaapkamer en geen airco dus wil je het raam open.

  Το διαμέρισμα ήταν πολύ πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένο, όμορφα διακοσμημένο, ζεστό , με άνετους χώρους, μεγάλο μπάνιο και κουζίνα. Βρισκόταν σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία, μόλις ένα 10' περπάτημα από το ιστορικό κέντρο και δίπλα σε στάση τραμ αλλά και πάρκιγκ. Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν φιλικός και εξυπηρετικός.
  
  What could be improved: Δεν ήταν αρκετά καθαρό, τα τζάμια στο πίσω δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ βρώμικα και το σταχτοδοχείο γεμάτο με τσιγάρα προηγούμενων επισκεπτών. Μας είχαν αφήσει μόνο μια πετσέτα μπάνιου για τον καθένα μας για 4 βράδια.. Δεν υπήρχαν πετσέτες προσώπου ή χεριών ! Όταν ρώτησα τον ιδιοκτήτη μου είπε ότι στην Πολωνία δεν συνηθίζεται να υπάρχουν μικρές πετσέτες, του ζήτησα λοιπόν έξτρα πετσέτες (γιατί δεν μπορεί να έχουμε μόνο μια πετσέτα για μπάνιο, πρόσωπο, χέρια, μαλλιά…) μου είπε ότι θα ενημερώσει την καθαρίστρια αλλά δεν μας έφερε τίποτα. Μου είπε επίσης να ψάξω στα ντουλάπια μήπως βρω κι άλλες πετσέτες, βρήκαμε αλλά ήταν χρησιμοποιημένες από προηγούμενους επισκέπτες! Στο μπάνιο είχε 3 πολύ μικρά χαρτιά υγείας για 4 άτομα και 4 βράδια. Το υγρό σαπούνι χεριών τελείωσε από την πρώτη μέρα. Το απορρυπαντικό για τα πιάτα τελείωσε τη δεύτερη μέρα..στο πλυντήριο πιάτων υπήρχαν άπλυτα από προηγούμενους ενοικιαστές αλλά δεν υπήρχε απορρυπαντικό πλυντηρίου για να το βάλουμε να δουλέψει. Και στο μπάνιο και στην κουζίνα τα καλαθάκια ήταν μικρά, γέμισαν γρήγορα αλλά δεν υπήρχαν πουθενά έξτρα σακούλες για τα σκουπίδια. Νομίζω ότι ο ιδιοκτήτης πρέπει να αλλάξει καθαρίστρια ή να επιβλέπει καλύτερα τι γίνεται στο διαμέρισμα. Κρίμα γιατί πρόκειται για ένα πολύ όμορφο διαμέρισμα!
