You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from S45 APT by PROMODERO when I first booked it – honestly, the name sounds like some sort of tech startup rather than a place you’d want to sleep. But I’m actually really glad I took a chance on this one, because it turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s apartment than a typical hotel experience. When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live and move through a space – not just how to cram in the most beds possible. The 3-star rating might make you think it’s going to be basic, but honestly, whoever’s behind PROMODERO seems to understand that good design doesn’t always cost a fortune. The furniture has that clean, Scandinavian-influenced look without feeling cold, and there are these little touches – like really good lighting and outlets exactly where you need them – that show someone was paying attention. I mean, you can actually read in bed without getting a crick in your neck, which is rarer than it should be.

What really struck me was how quiet everything was, even though you’re clearly in an active neighborhood (you can hear just enough street life to know you’re somewhere interesting, but nothing that’ll keep you up). The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no long spiel about amenities you’ll never use or pushy upselling. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than scripted, which makes such a difference when you’re figuring out a new place. And here’s something I appreciated – the WiFi actually works properly, fast enough for video calls without that laggy, pixelated nonsense you get at a lot of places. Small thing, maybe, but when you need to jump on a work call or FaceTime family back home, it matters.

The bathroom deserves a mention too, because it’s one of those spaces where you can tell they sweated the details. Good water pressure, a mirror that doesn’t fog up immediately, and enough counter space for your stuff without playing Tetris with toiletries. Plus, the towels are fluffy enough that you don’t feel like you’re drying off with sandpaper – again, sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.

That 9.7 rating starts to make perfect sense once you’ve been there a day or two. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works the way it should. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that nail the fundamentals while adding just enough personality to feel memorable. S45 APT manages to hit that sweet spot where you’re comfortable enough to actually relax, but engaged enough with the space that you’re not just counting down hours until checkout.

  This was the most top notch accommodations we had in our travels through Europe. Not only was in clean & a large size but everything was so nice!!! The updated beautiful bathroom, the adorable kitchen. Just first class all the way. Such an affordable price as well. Perfect location. Safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants.

  I didn’t like this property…I loved it. It was more than I could have asked for. What you got for the price was incredible! Everything was just perfect. The bath was just insanely beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could’ve needed. The sofa and bed were both very comfortable. It was a perfect temperature in there at all times, especially after coming back from the cold outside. Just perfect.
