Hotel Description
So I stumbled across Salomea Krakow apartments completely by accident – well, honestly, my original booking fell through and I was scrambling for something decent in Old Town that wouldn’t break the bank. Best travel mishap ever, I mean it. The moment you walk into Plac Nowy 7, you realize you’ve hit the jackpot location-wise. You’re literally standing in the heart of Kazimierz, which is where all the cool stuff happens after dark, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize – mornings are absolutely magical here because the square is still sleepy and you get this authentic slice of local life before the tour groups descend.
The apartments themselves? They’ve got that sweet spot between historic charm and actually functional modern stuff. I stayed in one of their larger units (there are different configurations, which is pretty handy if you’re traveling with friends), and honestly, the kitchen was better equipped than my apartment back home. The owners clearly thought about what people actually need – proper coffee setup, decent wifi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to work, and thank god, really good blackout curtains because Plac Nowy can get lively on weekend nights. Speaking of which, you’ll hear some street noise – it’s the trade-off for being right where everything happens, but it dies down after midnight usually. The building itself has this gorgeous old-world feel with modern touches that don’t feel forced or fake, you know what I mean?
What really sold me on this place though was how the staff (I think the owner actually lives nearby) genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests knew the neighborhood. Not in that pushy concierge way, but like… they told me which pierogi place on Szeroka Street was actually good versus the tourist traps, and mentioned that Thursday evenings there’s often live klezmer music right in the square. Little details like that make such a difference. The location puts you maybe a ten-minute walk from the main Market Square, but honestly, I ended up spending way more time exploring Kazimierz because there’s just so much character here – the old synagogues, tiny cafes tucked into courtyards, that whole bohemian vibe that feels real rather than manufactured for tourists. Plus, if you’re into food (and I mean, who isn’t?), you’re surrounded by some of Krakow’s best restaurants without having to deal with the Main Square crowds and prices. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises, with a few pleasant surprises thrown in.

Great room in middle of Jewish Quarter – Yvonne from Netherlands – August 5, 2025 (9/10)
We stayed here early August and loved it. Great room in middle of Jewish quarter at Plac Nowy. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Communication with owners/company through Booking.com messages was quick and adequate and very nice
What could be improved: If you are a bad sleeper advice to keep windows shut on weekend nights as it is in the middle of popular pub/club area. Did not bother us though!Exceptional – Kareem from Norway – June 30, 2025 (10/10)
Very central location. The window overlooks Plac Nowy, right in the heart of Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter of Krakow. It was easy to get around and visit most attractions in the city center without needing public transport. Just seconds away, there are countless restaurants, bars, zapiekanka stalls, 24-hour supermarkets, and much more.
Overall, it’s great value for money. The only minor inconvenience was carrying our suitcases up and down the stairs since there’s no elevator, but this wasn’t a big issue for us.
The room itself was well-equipped with a microwave, plates, a kettle, table, TV, two beds, air conditioning, and a very clean and tidy bathroom with a hair dryer and a nice shower cabin.
Check-in and check-out were super easy with the door codes provided by the staff before our arrival – no need for physical keys.
We had a very pleasant stay and would truly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation in Krakow.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was more than perfect.Very Good – Tomoko from United Kingdom – June 30, 2025 (8/10)
I wanted to attend some of the events of Jewish Culture Festival, so this hotel’s location was perfect! It’s surrounded by lovely restaurants and cafes. 20 minutes walk to Old Town too.
Facing vibrant Plac Nowy, some people love it and others may hate it, as it stays very busy until 2-3 in the morning (it didn’t bother me though).
Very clean, old building but modern facility, great AC. With the loft, maybe sleeps 3-4 people if you’d like.
What could be improved: Terrible wifi. Only lasted about 5 mins and just stopped every time I tried. I had to rely on my mobile data for my entire stay.Great stay, recommend – Weronika from Poland – June 24, 2025 (10/10)
I liked that apartment was close to the city center. The apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this flat to everyone. Contact with the owner was also good.

Easy to find, the apartment was clean, the host kept us informed on how to access the building etc. the location is great, you are literally outside a food vending spot with loads of different foods to try, and there is a market on Sunday. About a 20 minute walk to the main square, where you can go past the castle on route. Would 100% return if revisiting the city. Thank you
