Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked up to Salomea on Bożego Ciała street – the name alone had me practicing pronunciation in my head. But you know what? This little gem tucked into Krakow’s Old Town absolutely won me over, and I mean that in the most genuine way possible.
The thing about staying right on Bożego Ciała is that you’re literally steps from the Corpus Christi Basilica (that’s what the street name means, actually), and the morning church bells become this oddly comforting soundtrack rather than an annoyance. The apartments themselves feel like someone’s stylish Polish aunt decided to rent out her place – there’s real character here, not that sterile hotel vibe you get in chain places. I loved how my apartment had these thick walls that kept the street noise down, which honestly surprised me given we’re talking about the heart of Old Town. The kitchen was properly equipped too, not just some token mini-fridge situation, so I could actually brew proper coffee in the morning and grab fresh bread from the bakery around the corner on Krakowska street.
What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – when I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure. Instead, they told me about this tiny place two blocks over where locals actually eat, and warned me that Thursdays get crazy busy around the nearby student quarter. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that drawn-out lobby performance, and they actually gave me useful intel about parking (spoiler: forget driving in Old Town, just don’t). The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with marble lobbies, but everything just… works. The shower pressure was excellent, the Wi-Fi didn’t drop out every five minutes, and the beds were properly comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses I’ve suffered through elsewhere. I mean, after walking around cobblestones all day exploring the Planty gardens or wandering through the Cloth Hall, you really appreciate sinking into something soft. The location means you can stumble back from the bars around Plac Nowy without dealing with taxis or night trams, but it’s also quiet enough that you’re not hearing drunk tourists at 3 AM – well, mostly quiet anyway. If you’re the type who likes having space to spread out your stuff and maybe cook a simple meal while still being right in the thick of things, Salomea hits that sweet spot perfectly.

It was a great trip. – Mrjohnyallen from Romania – August 1, 2025 (10/10)
The room looks just like in the photos, and the host was very kind. It’s located on Bożego Ciała Street, no. 11 – just 100 meters from Okrąglak, a popular spot where you can try zapiekanki (a traditional Polish sandwich), and only 600 meters from Wawel Royal Castle.

Fantastic location, beautiful ambience, very clean apartment with all the facilities you need. The only apartment with a balcony in the entire building, which was such a pleasant addition. I will definitely be back!:)
Great place close to everything – Claire from United Kingdom – June 18, 2025 (10/10)
Brilliant location close to bars, restaurants and only 15 min walk to main square. Apartment was decorated nicely and plenty of space, lovely to have the balcony too which we used as had lovely weather. It’s more of an open plan studio so no bedroom door but that didn’t bother us. Host allowed us to leave bag in another apartment upon check out so we could still explore without dragging bag around.
Exceptional – Sarah from United Kingdom – June 4, 2025 (10/10)

Loved this apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent with plenty nice bars and restaurants on it's doorstep (no noise). Glad we stayed in this area rather than the Old Town.I would 100% recommend this apartment and would book again.
