You know what struck me first about SL Apartments? It’s actually tucked away on Słowackiego – this tree-lined street that feels properly residential, not touristy at all. I mean, you’re still in Krowodrza, which is honestly one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists somehow miss. The building itself has that solid, pre-war Polish apartment feel – thick walls, high ceilings, the kind of place where you won’t hear your neighbors through paper-thin walls.

The apartments themselves are pretty straightforward, nothing fancy but everything works. I appreciated that they didn’t try to over-design the space with weird modern touches that don’t make sense. The kitchenettes are actually usable (you can cook a proper meal, not just heat up instant noodles), and the bathrooms have decent water pressure – which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in converted apartment buildings. What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night. Słowackiego isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you don’t have trams rattling by at 6 AM or drunk tourists stumbling around. The staff at check-in were refreshingly normal – not overly cheerful, just efficient and helpful when you need something.

Here’s the thing about the location that makes it work: you’re about a 15-minute walk to the main square, but you’re also right near some genuinely good local spots that most visitors never find. There’s this excellent pierogi place called Pierogarnia that’s maybe three blocks away – no English menu, just really good food. The tram stop on the corner connects you to pretty much everywhere you’d want to go, including a direct line to Kazimierz if you’re doing the Jewish quarter thing. Parking is actually manageable on the side streets (unlike trying to park anywhere near the Old Town), and there’s a Żabka convenience store literally next door for when you need basics. I’d say it’s perfect if you want to experience Krakow more like someone who lives there rather than just hitting the tourist highlights. The 3-star rating feels about right – it’s clean, comfortable, and well-located without any pretensions. Honestly, for the price point and the neighborhood vibe, it’s a solid choice if you don’t need someone bringing you fresh towels every day.

Early hotels booking in Krakow requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s UNESCO-listed medieval center and royal landmarks.

  Close to old square and good transport links. Size of the room enough for 2 people, really clean on the arrival.
  
  What could be improved: Couldn’t open the window due to noise outside as it’s facing a main street. Could do with TV in the room. Couldn’t lock bathroom doors

  It’s a 20/30 minute walk to the city centre but worth walking to as lots of restaurants (recommend Pino) bus stops, bunny cafe and supermarkets nearby / on the way, easy to get the bus from glowny station to radio krakow (3 min walk from apartment.) The apartment was clean, cozy and comfortable. Just outside the apartment door was cleaning products, extra towels, extra bed linen and hairdryers. Main door is a code, second door is a code then keys are in a code box. Easy process and made us feel really safe! Big pot of coffee and sugar supplied, lots of plug sockets, really warm big radiator, big fridge. Really loved it here and would 100% stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Only issue we had was the bathroom sink was blocked / filled up quick. Needs looking at as it’s easy to overflow.

  It is a good place to stay….small and comfort….bathroom is clean….with a small kitchen, even i didn’t cook….
  
  What could be improved: One thing that disturbing me is when the neighbour upstair using their bathroom , i can hear water running through the pipe, then it’s hard for me to go back to sleep anymore….I was in the first floor, #2)….

  Room is great, well decorated. There are kettle, stove and some basic kitchen stuff. Bed is big and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The enterance hall is kinda scary. There might be some noise since the hostel is on the road.

  The accommodation is a 15-minute walk from the city center. There is a kitchenette, a refrigerator, a stylish shower. Comfortable bed. Good and contactable owner
  
  What could be improved: The renovation of our room leaves much to be desired. It's more on the kitchenette side. Some of the dishes also need to be replaced. It is very noisy both day and night, because the freeway is right outside the window. Don’t forget to bring earplugs)

  Great facility, good location and helpful staff. Kitchen had all the essentials. Close to the tram and bus stops. Safe place to stay.

  Lovely little apartment just outside the old town. Super comfy bed, good bathroom, and adequate cooking facilities/equipment. I felt safe walking back here at night from the old town as a solo woman traveller. Very quiet and secure. I'll definitely stay here again!
  
  What could be improved: A couple of hooks to hang towels in the bathroom would be nice, as would a small shelf in the shower for soap etc. The internet was sometimes a little shaky, but adequate. A few of the electrical outlets didn't seem to work.
