Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Krakow’s Old Town, and honestly? The Sobieski Prestige Apartment caught me off guard in the best way. You know how sometimes “apartment” means you’re getting someone’s cramped spare room with questionable wifi? This isn’t that. Walking into this place on Łobzowska – which, by the way, locals just call “the street behind the university buildings” – I actually did a double-take. The space feels more like what your successful friend from Warsaw would rent for a month, not a typical tourist crash pad.

The whole “6 minutes to Main Square” thing isn’t tourist marketing nonsense, either. I mean, I timed it because I’m weird like that, and it’s legit – though you’ll probably add a minute or two because you’ll keep stopping to look at the architecture along the way. What they don’t tell you is that you’re also about three minutes from that little pierogi place on Krupnicza that doesn’t even have a proper sign (locals know the one). The location is honestly perfect because you get that authentic neighborhood feel – I could hear church bells in the morning, not drunk tourists at 2 AM – but you’re still close enough to stumble back from the jazz clubs around Floriańska without paying for a taxi.

The apartment itself has this thing where everything just… works. You know how usually there’s always something slightly off? The shower pressure is weak, or the coffee maker is from 1987, or the heating sounds like a dying whale? None of that here. The kitchen actually has proper knives – I made breakfast there and didn’t want to throw anything across the room, which is rare. The bed situation is solid too, and I’m picky about mattresses since I have this back thing. Plus there’s enough space that you’re not living out of a suitcase on the floor, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The only tiny thing – and I’m really reaching here – is that the building entrance is a bit tricky to find the first time if you arrive after dark, but that’s more about Old Town’s charming lack of modern signage than anything the owners can control. With a 9.7 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending time there, I get it. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Krakow for a bit, not just passing through.

  Lovely spacious apartment with two separate bedrooms, clean, shower + bath tub in the bathroom. Great communication with the apartment owners. Location is fabulous, just 10 mins walk from the city center. Really recommending to groups/families of 4 people. Thank you, Joanna and Hubert!

  The property was clean , spacious and quiet at night , only a short walk to the old town , and there was everything we needed inside the apartment , easy to get into as they explain how to very well , they also offered a map of exciting places to go around krakow , if we ever come to Poland again , would definitely come back here !

  Our stay in the apartment was one of the best we’ve had. This apartment is so well kitted out and catered for. Very thoughtful toiletries left to be used, well equipped kitchen including subtle Easter decorations while we were staying. The apartment was also spotlessly clean and the owner went out of their way to suit our arrival time the best they could which was very much appreciated. 10/10
