Spatz Aparthotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Spatz Aparthotel? The name honestly made me expect something quirky or themed, but it’s actually just a really solid, no-nonsense place that gets the basics absolutely right. I mean, it’s only got three stars officially, but it punches way above its weight class with that 8.0 rating – and after staying there, I totally get why.
The aparthotel setup is perfect if you’re planning to stick around for more than just a quick overnight. Each unit has this compact kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just decorative like some places), and the living space feels surprisingly roomy once you get your stuff settled. The furniture’s nothing fancy – think clean Scandinavian vibes rather than luxury – but everything’s in good condition and the beds are genuinely comfortable. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when the place seems pretty full. The walls must be decent because I barely heard my neighbors, which is honestly rare these days. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use, just friendly staff who actually seemed to know the local area when I asked about dinner recommendations.
Here’s the thing though – this isn’t the kind of place where you’re paying for a rooftop pool or fancy lobby to Instagram. It’s more about having a proper base where you can actually relax and maybe cook a simple meal if you want to. The cleaning service is thorough (I stayed for five nights and they kept everything spotless), and there’s decent natural light in most rooms, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think when you’re trying to work or just unwind. Parking was straightforward when I visited, though I imagine it could get tighter during peak season. The location works well if you don’t mind walking a bit – you’re not right in the thick of tourist central, but that actually made it feel more authentic and definitely quieter at night. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for longer trips when you want somewhere that feels a bit more like a temporary home than just another hotel room.
To book a hotel in Krakow during peak medieval festival season, travelers need early planning as this historic capital draws visitors eager to experience its UNESCO World Heritage old town and royal heritage.

Dora the explorer who works behind the bar is an absolute credit to the place. Thanks so much for your conversation and helpfulness. You really helped make my trip that bit brighter.Hawkins from United Kingdom (8/10)
The room was very nice. Great shower and hairdryer. Nice restaurant across the road. It snowed, and as we are a bit older it would have been less frightening for us if you cleared some from the front of the hotel as it was extremely slippy. But all in all the Hotel was great and so was the breakfast.
