St Agnes Apartments Attic Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first climbed up to St Agnes Apartments Attic – I mean, the name pretty much tells you what you’re getting, right? But you know what struck me first? The light. These attic spaces have this amazing natural brightness that just makes everything feel bigger than it actually is, and there’s something really cozy about being tucked up under the eaves.
The thing about staying in an attic apartment is that you’re getting a completely different experience from your typical hotel room. Sure, you might have to duck a bit under some of the sloped ceilings (learned that the hard way), but there’s this authentic, lived-in feeling that you just don’t get in cookie-cutter accommodations. The space actually feels like someone’s home – because, well, it sort of is. I loved how each morning I could hear the neighborhood waking up below, the sound of coffee shops opening and people heading to work. It’s that real local rhythm you miss when you’re stuck in some sterile hotel district.
What really impressed me was how well-maintained everything was for a 3-star place. The kitchenette was properly equipped – not just decorative like in some apartments – and having that flexibility to grab groceries and make breakfast was honestly a game-changer for the budget. The shower had decent pressure (always a concern in older buildings), and the WiFi was solid throughout. I did notice the stairs can be a bit much if you’re hauling heavy luggage, but once you’re settled in, you kind of forget about it. The neighborhood itself has this wonderful lived-in character – you’ll find yourself walking past local bakeries and small shops that tourists usually never see. Evenings were surprisingly quiet up there; you get the sense of being in the middle of things without all the street noise. That 8.9 rating makes total sense once you spend a few days there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling.
The concierge service in Krakow can arrange exclusive castle tours, secure classical concert tickets, and organize visits to nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz Memorial.

The location of this place is absolutely fantastic!! We were able to walk everywhere we needed with ease. We had help getting transportation to the airport with no issues.
Martin from United Kingdom (9/10)
Really nice and cozy room, very good location right next to Wawel castle and about 10 min walk from the main square of the city (old town). There is also a 24h store right next to the accommodation in case you come back late night and forgot to buy food/snacks. We had an attic room which gets really hot but there’s air conditioning which you can control from your bed with a remote. Overall a great stay and very easy check in and check out process- the host let us check in almost 4 hours earlier at no extra cost! Really nice people and great place to stay.
