ST48 Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to ST48 Apartment on Starowiślna Street, you immediately get that “I made the right choice” feeling. The building sits perfectly in Krakow’s Old Town — close enough to everything that matters, but tucked away on a quieter stretch where you’re not dodging tour groups every five minutes. I mean, when you see that address and realize you’re literally steps from the main square but still have some breathing room, it just clicks. This four-star property has that boutique apartment feel that’s become so popular, and honestly, they’ve nailed the balance between hotel service and the independence of having your own space.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — Starowiślna is one of those streets that locals actually use, not just a tourist thoroughfare. You’ve got authentic Polish restaurants mixed in with the more obvious choices, and the morning walk to Wawel Castle takes maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling leisurely. The Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica are practically around the corner, but when you want to escape the crowds, you can duck into one of the smaller side streets or grab coffee at a place where you might be the only foreigner. It’s that sweet spot where couples can feel like they’re discovering the city together rather than just checking boxes on a sightseeing list.
The Apartment Experience
What sets ST48 Apartment apart is how they’ve designed these spaces — they actually feel like apartments, not hotel rooms trying to be something else. The kitchenette isn’t just for show; you can actually prepare a proper meal if you want to stay in with some local market finds. The living areas have that comfortable, lived-in quality without being worn down, and the bedrooms are genuinely restful. I particularly appreciated the attention to soundproofing — Old Town can get lively, especially on weekends, but inside you get that peaceful retreat feeling that makes all the difference after a day of exploring.
Practical Comforts
The little details here show they understand what travelers actually need. The Wi-Fi works properly throughout the space (not always a given in these historic buildings), and there’s enough storage that you can actually unpack and settle in. The bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile, and they’ve managed to fit everything you need without that cramped feeling you sometimes get in city center accommodations. What really impressed me was how they’ve maintained the character of the building while updating all the systems — the heating works, the water pressure is solid, and you’re not constantly adjusting things to make them function.
Why Guests Love It
That perfect rating isn’t an accident — ST48 Apartment delivers on the promise of being in the heart of Krakow without the typical compromises. Couples especially seem to connect with the romantic potential of having your own little Polish pied-à-terre, complete with the freedom to come and go as you please. You can start your morning with coffee in your own space, spend the day getting wonderfully lost in the medieval streets, then return to somewhere that feels like home rather than just a place to sleep. It’s that combination of independence and prime location that makes you feel like you’re living in Krakow, not just visiting it.
Hotels near me in Krakow offer convenient access to the medieval center, where guests can easily walk to St. Mary’s Basilica, Cloth Hall, and traditional Polish restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Krakow! It was super clean, fully equipped, and in a perfect location—just a short walk to the city center and Kazimierz. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we even booked an Auschwitz tour with convenient pick-up from the apartment. A lovely touch was the free cold water and small items in the fridge, which made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Krakow!
