You know what really caught me off guard about STAR66? I was expecting just another apartment rental on Starowislna Street, but this place actually has some serious character. I mean, when you’re walking down one of Krakow’s most historic streets – literally steps from the Main Square – you sort of brace yourself for either tourist trap pricing or cramped quarters. This managed to avoid both traps somehow.

The air conditioning alone makes this worth talking about, honestly. Most places in Old Town Krakow still rely on those tiny fans or opening windows that let in all the street noise from the trams and late-night revelers. But here’s the thing about Starowislna – it’s busy during the day with people heading to Wawel Castle (which is basically around the corner), but it actually quiets down at night. The apartment sits just right where you get that perfect balance of being in the thick of things without the 3 AM party sounds that plague some of the spots closer to the square.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep some of the old-world charm while making everything actually functional. The ceilings have that beautiful high European feel, and you can tell they put thought into the details rather than just cramming in IKEA furniture and calling it a day. Walking back from dinner at one of those incredible pierogi places on Grodzka Street (Pro tip: skip the touristy ones right on the square), I’d see the warm light from the windows and it genuinely felt like coming home rather than just crashing somewhere temporary. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places where small things are done right, like having enough outlets near the bed and water pressure that doesn’t make you want to cry. Plus, honestly, when you wake up and realize you can walk to St. Mary’s Basilica for the hourly trumpet call in about four minutes, or grab those incredible obwarzanek (the local bagels) from the vendors before they sell out… well, location like that is pretty hard to beat in a city where every street corner has about 600 years of history attached to it.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Krakow at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near Market Square.

  Гарні і зручні ліжка, є кондиціонер, є все для приготування їжі. Зручний душ.
  Хозяєва були на зв'язку. Навіть забуті речі , дозволили забрати. Гарний інтернет. Дуже близько до різних кафе, і старого міста. Близько до зупинки трамвая. Поруч аптека і пошта. Продуктові магазини 300 метрів. Є близько торговий центр.
  
  What could be improved: Якщо з маленькими дітьми, то у ванній дуже холодний пол. Якщо чутко спите , то трамвай буде заважати (нам не заважав). З людьми похилого віку, якщо в них є проблеми з ногами, важко підійматися на третій поверх (нам було нормально)
