The building itself has that classic Kraków charm, tucked between centuries-old townhouses that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale.

The Studio Space

The room is exactly what it promises — a studio with character. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to make the space feel both cozy and functional without that cramped feeling you sometimes get in European city centers. The view (and yes, there actually is one) looks out over the Old Town’s rooftops, which honestly never gets old. You’ll find a compact kitchenette that’s perfect for making morning coffee or storing those late-night pierogi takeout containers. The furnishings are simple but thoughtful — nothing fancy, but everything you need is there.

Location Magic

Here’s the thing about staying right on Mikołajska — you’re about a two-minute walk from the Main Market Square, but you’re just far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist crowds outside your window. I loved being able to pop down to Cloth Hall for souvenirs or grab a late dinner at one of the cellar restaurant without any planning. The Wawel Castle is an easy stroll, and honestly, some of Kraków’s best milk bars (those traditional Polish cafeterias) are practically around the corner.

The Neighborhood Experience

What you really get here is the authentic Old Town experience without paying five-star prices. In the morning, you’ll hear locals heading to work mixed with the first wave of tourists — it’s that perfect balance where you feel like you’re living in Kraków, not just visiting it. The narrow cobblestone streets can be a bit tricky with heavy luggage (fair warning), but once you’re settled, everything from grocery stores to traditional Polish restaurants is within walking distance. You know what’s great? You can actually walk to the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz in about fifteen minutes.

It’s not trying to be something it’s not — this is a clean, well-located studio that delivers exactly what solo travelers and couples want from a Kraków base.   The location of the flat was brilliant. I managed to walk from the train station with a big suitcase to the flat with ease (around 20 min walk if that). It is also situated off the main square making it very central. The owners gave very clear instructions on how to access the property which made a world of difference. The flat was clean and had all basic amenities that you may require and the bed was comfy.

  Als wir uns dem Haus genähert haben, hat mich die Fassade ein bisschen an Venedig erinnert – eine Renovierung der Fassade wäre kein Fehler 😉
  Die Schlüsselbox war unmittelbar daneben und durch die gute Beschreibung kein Problem.
  Anmerkung: ebenfalls unmittelbar daneben ist eine Bäckerei und eine Bar (die Infrastruktur ist perfekt).
  Das Stiegenhaus ist noch im Originalzustand (betrunken eher ein Problem), die Steigung zum zweiten Stock hat mich an Amsterdam erinnert, ist aber dort nur halb so breit.
  Aber das wichtigste, das Appartment war geradezu perfekt – schönes, ausreichend grosses Bad, einen "Vorzimmerbereich" mit Kasten und Kochniche und der sehr grosszügige Wohnraum mit Essplatz, Bett, Sitzgruppe mit driektem Blick zum Platz – sehr zentral, man ist mitten im Geschehen
