You know what struck me first about Sunflower Apartment? It’s tucked away on Krowoderska Street in this perfect sweet spot where you’re technically in Old Town but not drowning in tourist crowds every time you step outside. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main square, but the street itself has this lovely residential vibe – you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of tour groups at 7 AM. The building is one of those classic Krakow townhouses with thick walls (honestly, such a blessing for light sleepers) and the apartment itself feels like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room.

The space is genuinely thoughtful in ways that make you realize someone actually lives in places like this, not just designs them for photos. The kitchen has proper coffee-making equipment – not those sad hotel pod machines – and there’s enough counter space to actually spread out if you want to grab groceries from the little market around the corner on Basztowa. The bedroom gets great morning light but isn’t blindingly bright, and I loved that they’ve got blackout options for people who need proper darkness. What really got me though was the bathroom – it’s compact but well-planned, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent pressure. Small thing, but you know how hit-or-miss apartment rentals can be with hot water.

The location honestly makes this place special. You’re close enough to walk to everything that matters (Wawel Castle, Jewish Quarter, all the main restaurants), but Krowoderska puts you right near some spots tourists miss. There’s this incredible milk bar – Bar Mleczny Pod Temidą – literally around the corner where locals actually eat, and you’re walking distance from Planty Park if you need to escape the city buzz for a bit. Parking can be tricky in this area, but they’ll give you solid advice about nearby options during check-in. The building entrance is easy to miss if you’re not looking for the number, but that’s sort of part of the charm – it feels like you’ve discovered something rather than just booked something. With a 9.7 rating, I expected it to be good, but honestly? It’s one of those places that makes you want to plan your next Krakow trip just so you can stay there again.

  The apartment is a bit small but very clean and equipped with all the utilities. Very quiet neighborhood, with a few grocery stores near the apartment, it is located close to the train station but also to the center. Easy access with entry code. Very kind host, helped us with everything we needed.

  Everything was wonderful. It's about 10 minutes to the old town and has convenience stores in walking distance. Everything about the apartment is lovely. I can see how welcoming the people that own the apartment are. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and much more you didn't think you need but might need. We really enjoyed the coffee machine and the tastefully designed apartment. Good communication with the host. Easy access, they helped us checking in. We really loved the jacket hanger from the entrance. Very unique. Would absolutely come back in the future or recommend it to friends. Thank you so much for the lovely stay.

  This was the most perfect apartment we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail exceeded any expectations we had from the little chocolates on arrival to the beautiful design it was amazing. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The area is calm and quiet, the perfect place to stay. Everything we could ever need was in the apartment and the host was super quick to respond to us. 100% would recommend to everyone.

  Fabulous apartment, in a great location. Much thought has gone into furnishing this apartment, and contains absolutely everything you need, and more! The apartment was spic and span, and as per the photos. Very tastefully decorated. The welcoming bottles of water and chocolates, were a lovely extra touch. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Access to the building and apartment itself is via a code, which was communicated in advance, and very easy to follow. Plenty of convenience stores nearby to pick up supplies.
  
  What could be improved: The only negative I would have, is that the double bed is a bit small. If you are tall, your feet will dangle over the end, and it is a little too narrow to fit 2 adults comfortably.
