You know what caught me off guard about Tomasza 20? I was expecting just another cramped apartment rental in Old Town, but this place actually gets the balance right between location and livability. I mean, you’re literally on Świętego Tomasza street – and if you don’t know Krakow, that’s basically prime real estate without the chaos of the main square that’s just a few blocks away.

The building itself has that classic Krakow charm (you’ll hear your footsteps echo in the stairwell), but inside the apartment, everything’s been thoughtfully updated. The windows face the street, so you get these lovely glimpses of locals heading to work in the morning – though honestly, you might hear some late-night chatter from people walking back from the bars around Plac Szczepański. Not deal-breaking loud, just… city sounds, you know? What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to fit a proper kitchen into the space. I actually cooked a few meals there because, let’s face it, eating out in Old Town every night gets expensive fast. There’s a Żabka convenience store practically around the corner, and if you walk maybe eight minutes toward the river, you’ll hit the bigger Carrefour for actual groceries.

The location thing – I keep coming back to it because it really makes this place. You’re close enough to duck into St. Mary’s Basilica or grab a coffee at one of those tiny cafes on Floriańska street, but far enough from the tourist crush that you can actually breathe. I loved being able to walk to the Cloth Hall in under ten minutes, then retreat back to somewhere that felt more residential. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting legitimate Old Town living without paying tourist-trap prices or dealing with paper-thin walls. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – the host met me right at the building entrance and actually gave me some solid restaurant recommendations (skip the places right on the square, head toward Kazimierz instead for dinner). It’s definitely a three-star situation in terms of luxury, but sometimes you want character over marble bathrooms, and this apartment delivers on that front.

  Best location you could get really, large and spacious. Comfortable mattress but odd square pillows. Prefer the normal ones. Clean and Modern bettee than expected
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I didn't like, which is nothing to do with the apartment, is the guy who plays the trumpet every hour from the main square. Plays it every hour all the way through the night as well. So if you are a light sleeper. Take ear plugs

  Apartament Tomasza 20 ma świetną lokalizację – zaledwie 5 minut spacerem od Kościoła Mariackiego, a przy otwartych oknach można usłyszeć hejnał z wieży, co dodaje niesamowitego klimatu. Sam apartament znajduje się na 3. piętrze, ale na szczęście jest winda, więc nie trzeba dźwigać bagaży po schodach.
  
  Wyposażenie apartamentu na bardzo wysokim poziomie – dodatkowe ręczniki, pościel, kołdry, poduszki oraz pełne zaopatrzenie w środki czystości to duży plus. Wszystko przygotowane z myślą o komforcie gości.
  
  What could be improved: Niestety, sporym rozczarowaniem okazała się klimatyzacja – według ogłoszenia miała być, ale nie działała. W gorące, słoneczne dni poddasze mocno się nagrzewa i bez działającej klimatyzacji zamienia się w saunę. Nocą otwarcie okien nie pomaga, bo z całej ulicy dobiega hałas z licznych restauracji – co bardzo utrudnia sen.
  
  Właściciel zareagował, udostępniając wiatrak, który niestety nie rozwiązał problemu. Ostatecznie zaproponował zniżkę 150 zł za 3-dniowy pobyt, co było miłym gestem, choć nie w pełni rekompensującym niedogodności. Podsumowując – apartament piękny, świetnie położony i dobrze wyposażony, ale brak sprawnej klimatyzacji w letnie dni to poważny minus, który warto wziąć pod uwagę przed rezerwacją..
