Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Krakow, and this apartment on Tomasza Street honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When you first walk up to number 25, you’re literally thirty seconds from the Main Square, but here’s the thing nobody tells you: you’re tucked away just enough that you don’t get the chaos of drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The building itself has that classic Krakow character – you know, the kind where you feel like you’re stepping into actual history, not some sanitized hotel lobby.
The apartment is on the second floor (that’s 7b if you’re looking), and I mean, the moment you unlock that door, you get why this place has a 9.3 rating. It’s not huge, but everything just… works. The windows face toward the street, and honestly, the morning light streaming in makes you want to grab coffee and just sit there planning your day. Speaking of coffee – there’s a proper little kitchen setup, which saved me probably 100 zloty because let’s face it, eating out for every meal in Old Town adds up fast. The bed is actually comfortable too, not one of those European torture devices that some places try to pass off as mattresses.
What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge you get just by staying here. You’re a two-minute walk from St. Mary’s Basilica, sure, but more importantly, you’re right by that little passage that cuts through to Florianska Street – locals use it all the time, and it’s perfect when the main square gets absolutely packed (which, during summer weekends, trust me, it does). The owner clearly knows the neighborhood because they left notes about which restaurants actually serve decent food versus tourist traps, and where to find the best zapiekanka at 11 PM when you’re wandering back from the bars in Kazimierz. There’s even a 24-hour shop literally around the corner on Sienna Street – discovered that at midnight when I realized I forgot toothpaste.
The only minor thing I’d mention is that the building entrance can be a bit tricky to find if you’re arriving after dark with luggage, especially if you’re coming from the train station. It’s not clearly marked from the street, so maybe screenshot the exact address beforehand. Also, while the location means you can walk everywhere, good luck if you’re planning to drive – parking in Old Town is basically a nightmare, though there’s a decent garage about five minutes away if you absolutely need it.
Bottom line: this isn’t just a place to crash between sightseeing. It feels like having a friend’s apartment right in the heart of everything, except your friend has impeccable taste and actually knows how to stock a place properly. For the price point and that location, honestly, I’d book it again without hesitation.

Reviews
Modern, clean, comfortable, good area, great value for money. has only one separate bedroom though – Sine from United Kingdom – July 27, 2025 (8/10)
Nicely furnished, very clean, light, modern and comfortable with what you need for a city break. Lovely little balcony, good TV, comfortable beds, good shower once we had figured it out. Responsive and helpful owner. Felt safe and secure in the building and area which was very clean. Well situated in the city and a very good price compared with similar in the UK. I would stay here again for sure.
What could be improved: There is only one bedroom, the second bedroom is actually the living room. Which is fine if you are a family travelling but we thought we were booking a 2 bedroom apartment which in the UK would mean 2 bedrooms and a separate living room. It was really hot in Krakow and the apartment could really have done with some air conditioning units. A few more pillows and lighters duvets or sheets would have added to the comfort a little. The shower was a bit odd- we had to run the sink tap to regulate the temperature in the shower cubicle but once we asked the owner they explained and we got the hang of it.The perfect apartment – Natasha from Australia – May 29, 2025 (10/10)
