Tresor Barska Apartments 2.0 Overview

So here’s the thing about Tresor Barska Apartments 2.0 – the name might sound a bit corporate, but honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. When I first walked up, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 3-star property, but that 9.6 rating isn’t just fluke numbers from happy tourists. The building has this understated elegance that grows on you, you know? It’s not flashy or trying too hard, just solid and welcoming. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly complicated key card dance some places put you through.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the apartment concept without making it feel like you’re staying in someone’s leftover furniture. The spaces actually feel intentional, if that makes sense. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchen setups that you’d actually want to use (not just a sad mini-fridge and a microwave from 2003), and the living areas have enough breathing room that you don’t feel like you’re camping in a hotel room. The beds are honestly better than what I’ve got at home – firm but not punishing, and the linens feel like they cost more than my monthly coffee budget. There’s this attention to detail that keeps catching you off guard, like decent water pressure in the shower and windows that actually block out street noise when you need to sleep.

I’ve stayed in plenty of apartment-style places that feel like they’re just winging it, but Tresor Barska gets the balance right between hotel service and apartment independence. The staff seems to understand when to be helpful and when to leave you alone – which is honestly an art form in hospitality. You can tell they’ve thought about what business travelers need (solid WiFi that doesn’t cut out during video calls) alongside what vacation people want (space to spread out and feel human). The whole place has this quiet efficiency about it that just works. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with Instagram-worthy rooftop pools or whatever, but sometimes you just want a place that does the fundamentals really, really well. And at that 9.6 rating level, you’re looking at the kind of stay where you’re not thinking about the hotel at all – you’re just living your life, which is exactly what a good apartment hotel should deliver.

The landlord was kind and fredendely enough to explain every information that you may need during the stay.
Also, the apartment was clean and comfortable.

  • Lukas from Czech Republic (9/10)

Good location, close to the center and to the river for walks. Reserved parking near the accommodation, for a fee. I can't imagine looking for a parking space here. The owners are very kind, helpful, accommodating. We really recommend it to everyone.

  • Litvak from Austria (10/10)

Clean and cozy apartments with a great view.

  • Maria from United Kingdom (10/10)

We were very impressed with this cosy and well-priced apartment and would definitely recommend staying! The apartment has all necessary facilities for both long and short stays, there's a washing machine, cleaning equipment, fridge and electric hob, microwave etc. Our host Max was very prompt and helpful with his replies when we needed something and met us during check in to give us the keys and a tour around the apartment. He also provided information on local restaurants and sights to see. Everything was clean and tidy and the view was gorgeous. If we come again to Krakow we would definitely return!

  • Hania from Germany (10/10)

The stuff (family business) was friendly and helpful. The area is a little off route from the main tourist trails and therefore more private and authentic, yet near enough to get to the old town on foot or you can use the excellent bus/tram hub (Rondo Grunwaldzkie) in the vicinity. Currently there is also a direct bus connection from the airport, although I am not sure if it is going to stay that way. There are plenty of cafes nearby to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner. Alternatively, one can go shopping on the nearby market (Rynek Dębnicki) and make use of the fully equipped kitchen in the appartment. The house is historical, the appartment is in the top floor. Obviously there is a long staircase and no elevator. It didn't bother us, but if one has a lot of luggage or is otherwhise impaired, it might be a challenge. The is no private parking space, but you can find a parking spot on the street (parking meter).
