Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at the Turnau City Aparthotel a handful of times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets it right without making a big deal about it. You know what I mean – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything actually works the way it should.
The thing that struck me first was how quiet it is, which is sort of surprising given that you’re right in the thick of things in Turnau. I mean, you can walk to pretty much everything you’d want to see, but somehow they’ve managed to tuck this place away just enough that you’re not dealing with street noise all night. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re properly set up for people who actually need to live somewhere for a few days, not just crash. There’s a real kitchen – not one of those sad little coffee-maker setups – and the living area doesn’t feel like an afterthought. I’ve actually cooked dinner there a couple times, which says something because I’m usually too lazy to do more than heat up leftovers when I’m traveling.
What really sold me on this place though is the staff. They’re the kind of people who remember you’re lactose intolerant from your last visit (true story), and they know which local bakery opens earliest if you need coffee before your morning meetings. The woman at the front desk – I think her name is Maria – once drew me this incredibly detailed map showing a shortcut to the old town that cuts about ten minutes off the walk. It’s those little things, you know? The building itself has this understated charm – clean lines, nothing too flashy, but everything feels solid and well-maintained. The hallways smell like actual cleaning products, not those weird chemical air fresheners that make you wonder what they’re trying to cover up. And the WiFi is fast enough that I could actually video call my sister in Australia without wanting to throw my laptop out the window.
I will say, if you’re the type who needs a pool and a spa and all that resort stuff, this isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere that feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel – a friend with really good taste and attention to detail – then you’ll probably love it here. The value is honestly impressive too. Three stars officially, but it punches way above its weight. I’ve paid twice as much for places that couldn’t get the basics right, and here everything just… works. The shower has proper water pressure, the bed is comfortable without being so soft you sink into oblivion, and there’s enough storage space that you can actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night or two. It’s become my go-to whenever I’m in Turnau, which should tell you something.

Spacious apartment with good views and close to the centre which is helpful, has everything needed for a long stay, was very warm and shower/sink had a good pressure and temperature. They left some tea coffee and water for us which was very nice. Apartment was very secure, lots of locks on the door which was reassuring

Convenient location – close to the main station as well as the old town. Room is clean, warm, with good size, and has basically everything you need (my parents were a little disappointed that there's no dish washer so at the end we didn't cook. But personally I didn't mind).
