Tyzenhauz Apartments Dietla Street Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Tyzenhauz Apartments Dietla Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Krakow’s Old Town. The building sits right on Józefa Dietla street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — I mean, you’re literally in the heart of everything that makes this city magical. It’s one of those four-star properties that feels more intimate than a traditional hotel, with apartment-style accommodations that give you space to actually settle in and live like a local for a few days.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about staying at Tyzenhauz Apartments Dietla Street — you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in Old Town within minutes. The Main Market Square is just a short stroll away, and you know what? You’ll find yourself wandering back and forth throughout the day because it’s so easy. Couples especially seem to get this location (they rate it incredibly high), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being able to duck into cozy cafés or explore the medieval streets without dealing with trams or taxis. The Vistula River is close by too, perfect for those evening walks when the city starts to wind down.

The Apartment Experience

The apartments themselves strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and Old Town character. You get proper living space — not just a cramped hotel room — which makes all the difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. The kitchenettes are actually functional (not just for show), so you can grab fresh bread from the local bakeries and have a proper breakfast if you want. I found the furnishings to be thoughtfully chosen, upscale without being stuffy, and the windows let in plenty of natural light that really shows off the space.

Practical Comforts

What really works here is how they’ve managed to blend apartment-style independence with hotel-level service. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout (crucial when you’re trying to plan your Krakow adventures), and the heating keeps things comfortable even during those chilly Polish winters. Storage space is generous — you can actually unpack your suitcase properly, which feels like such a treat after staying in typical European hotel rooms. The bathrooms are well-appointed with good water pressure, and honestly, after long days exploring the cobblestone streets, that hot shower hits just right.

Why Guests Love It

The thing about Tyzenhauz Apartments Dietla Street is that it gives you the best of both worlds — you’re staying in a beautifully restored building in Old Town, but you have the freedom and space of your own apartment. Guests consistently rave about the location (and rightfully so), but what keeps people coming back is how the place feels like a genuine home base rather than just somewhere to sleep. Whether you’re planning romantic dinners at nearby restaurants or need a quiet space to regroup between sightseeing sessions, this property delivers that rare combination of prime location and personal space that makes a Krakow stay truly memorable.

Quiet yet still close to the relevant attractions and restaurants

  • Wonderful – Laura from Italy – August 1, 2025 (9/10)

Appartamento molto accogliente, nuovo, comodo e in ottima posizione

  • Feel comfortable during the stay – Chung from Taiwan – July 26, 2025 (9/10)

Very clean, great location, many restaurants nearby

  • Short but sweet Krakow visit – Fabiola from United Kingdom – July 20, 2025 (9/10)

La ubicación es excelente para explorar la ciudad a pie. El piso está muy bien equipado, con muchos utensilios de cocina (y cafetera y café! Que agradecimos mucho) y es muy cómodo para una estancia en grupo.

What could be improved: Todo estupendo, la verdad

  • In general very nice stay for us. – Anna from Spain – July 9, 2025 (9/10)

Super clean , and location was perfect. Walking distance to all attractions.

What could be improved: Being a top floor apartment in warm days it became too warm, there is an AC unit , but if you don’t like using it , it’s a bit of a problem.

  • Great apartment for a family, it had everything we needed and within walking distance of attractions – Jennifer from Ireland – October 7, 2024 (9/10)

The location was great, with lots of attractions within walking distance. Great size apartment for a family, 2 seperate bedrooms.

  • Charming apartment in an elegant building, though the hosts were somewhat impersonal. – Sylvia from United States – July 1, 2024 (9/10)

Great location and great apartment. Nicely renovated and good layout for friends/family. Air conditioning units kept the attic apartment cool during the hottest days. The building is beautiful with hand-painted murals along the stairwells.

What could be improved: I arrived to find only one pillow per guest. (Photos show two)

The second bed just had a new sheet on the mattress, and the rest of the bedding was folded up for guest to make themselves. Doing barely the minimum for guests.

Meanwhile, I asked for an earlier check-in far in advance (4:00pm is late) and was denied, while at check-out the cleaners were there on the dot.

  • I would definitely come again! – Hanna from Finland – April 24, 2024 (9/10)

The apartment fully corresponded to the description on Booking.com. I traveled together with my mother, and having our own bedrooms for each of us was one of the reasons for choosing this apartment. It was easy to get from the main train station with one tram directly in front of the apartment door, and all the places we needed were within walking distance.
The communication with the staff at the accommodation was excellent, and I got answers to questions I sent them through the Booking.com app very quickly. The arrival instructions were clear and everything went great.

What could be improved: The apartment is located along one of the big main streets, and especially the sounds of emergency vehicles could be heard quite clearly inside. Also from behind the wall from the neighboring apartment there was sometimes a somewhat exotic sound world, but despite these I wouldn't complain about anything.

  • Good – Stuart from United Kingdom – April 16, 2024 (7/10)

It was a good location and it was good that you could do your own washing at the property.
The rooms were good in size and you had everything you needed there.

What could be improved: Unfortunately my bed sheets where not Cleen.
And there was a few things at the property that were broken.

  • Perfect for short stays – Callum from United Kingdom – March 9, 2024 (8/10)

    Heated bathroom floor

What could be improved: Only 1 pillow allocated per guest. Would prefer 2 each
