Tyzenhauz Grand Apartaments Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Tyzenhauz Grand Apartaments? The name sounds way more intimidating than it actually is. I mean, when I first booked this place, I was expecting some stuffy, over-the-top hotel experience, but honestly – it’s got this really comfortable, lived-in vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-appointed friend’s apartment rather than just another cookie-cutter hotel room.

The thing is, with a 9.3 rating, I went in with pretty high expectations, and they actually delivered on most of them. The apartments themselves are genuinely spacious – not that “European spacious” where you’re basically living in a closet, but actually roomy enough that you’re not tripping over your luggage every five minutes. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped too, which I didn’t expect from a 3-star place. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple times just because I could, and there’s something really nice about having that option when you’re traveling for more than a few days. The beds are solid (firm but not rock-hard), and the soundproofing is decent – I could hear the occasional footstep from upstairs but nothing that kept me awake.

What I really appreciated was how the staff handled things. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises or hidden fees, and when I had a minor issue with the shower pressure on my second day, they sorted it out within a couple hours. That’s the kind of thing that bumps a place up in my book – it’s not about being perfect, it’s about fixing problems quickly when they come up. The location works well if you don’t mind walking a bit to get to the main action, though I actually preferred being slightly removed from the tourist chaos. There’s a decent coffee spot about two blocks away that locals seem to frequent, and I found myself going there most mornings instead of the hotel breakfast (which is fine, just nothing to write home about). Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season – street parking mostly, so plan accordingly if you’re driving. Overall, it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and that honesty really works in its favor.

The apartment was amazing. Much bigger than I had anticipated. There were three of us so having our own space and bathroom was a real luxury. We all slept very well in the comfy beds. We all loved the decor and felt at home. We would definitely return.
