You know what caught me off guard about Tyzenhauz Suites Topolowa? It’s one of those places that looks pretty standard from the outside – just another modern building – but then you walk into your suite and suddenly everything makes sense. The space is actually huge, I mean properly spacious, not that fake “European-style cozy” thing some places try to pull off. These are real suites with separate living areas, and honestly, after staying in cramped hotel rooms across Poland, it felt like hitting the jackpot.

The location on Topolowa is perfect if you know the area. It’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with street noise (learned that lesson the hard way in Warsaw), but you’re still close to everything that matters. I could walk to the main shopping district in about ten minutes, and there’s this little bakery two blocks over that locals actually go to – not a tourist trap. The parking situation is sorted too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish cities will tell you is worth its weight in gold. Check-in was smooth, no standing around waiting while they figure out their system, and the staff actually seemed to know what they were talking about when I asked about restaurants nearby.

What really sold me though was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from a four-star place. The bathroom had this rainfall shower that actually worked properly – you know how some hotels have these fancy fixtures that barely trickle? Not here. The bed was firm but comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and they’d thought about the little things like having enough outlets near the bedside and blackout curtains that actually block light. The kitchenette wasn’t just for show either; I could actually cook a proper meal if I wanted to. Honestly, with a 9.4 rating, I was expecting it to be good, but sometimes those scores are inflated. This time they got it right. It’s the kind of place where you’d be happy to stay for a week, not just crash for a night between flights.

  we only stayed for the weekend but the apartment had everything you would need for a longer stay. fully equipped kitchen, washing machine. a 24hour carrefour nearby, 20mins on walk to the square.
