U Siemienia Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to U Siemienia on a quiet street in Krowodrza, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical tourist trap hotel. The building has that understated Polish charm — nothing flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the entrance. I mean, when a three-star place manages to pull a 9.4 rating, you know they’re doing something right. The staff greeted me like I was an old friend, which honestly set the tone for the entire stay.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot in Kraków — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the crowds that you can actually breathe. Krowodrza is one of those neighborhoods where locals still outnumber tourists, which gives you a real feel for the city. The tram connections are excellent (there’s a stop practically around the corner), and you can walk to the Old Town in about 15 minutes if you’re up for it. What really struck me was how couples seem to gravitate here — there’s something romantic about the tree-lined streets and the way the evening light hits the buildings.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious for a place in this price range. The decor walks that fine line between modern comfort and Polish character — think clean lines with warm wood accents and artwork that actually means something. The bed was properly comfortable (not too soft, not too firm), and I appreciated the blackout curtains since I’m one of those people who needs complete darkness to sleep well. The bathroom was compact but functional, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Daily Life at the Hotel
Breakfast happens in a cozy dining area that feels more like someone’s well-appointed home than a hotel restaurant. They keep it simple but fresh — good bread, local cheeses, proper coffee, and eggs cooked to order. Nothing fancy, but everything tastes like they actually care about it. The staff remembers how you like your coffee after the second day, which is a nice touch. There’s also parking available, though honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled in this area.
Why Guests Love It
You know what makes U Siemienia work? It’s that they’ve figured out the balance between being professional and being personal. The location gets consistently high marks because it gives you the best of both worlds — easy access to Kraków’s main attractions without the noise and chaos of staying right in the center. Couples especially seem to appreciate the quieter vibe and the genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special, not just booking a bed for the night. For the price point, you’re getting way more character and attention than you’d find at the chain hotels closer to the main square.

A cosy and comfortable apartment in the lovely peaceful surroundings. Clean, equipped with everything you need for cooking, washing etc during a short or a longer stay.
Located 30-40min on foot from the old town, 5-10min from the tram stop, 20min on foot from the AGH student campus. Multiple grocery stores (Zabka, Carrefour express, Biedronka) within a short walk of 5-20min.
A very welcoming and responsive host.Mamulashvili from Georgia (10/10)
Great apartment with everything you might need not only for visiting but even for living. It is very comfortable, clean and well designed. We felt like we were home and didn't want to leave. The balcony is very cute and peaceful to drink tea/coffee in the morning and enjoy the silent moment.

The apartment was wonderfully decorated…well equipped and the father and daughter were a added bonus. They both cleaned the apartment weekly and provided extras like coffee…toilet paper…and fresh flowers. The location was perfect for all our needs. We both highly recommend this place and many thanks to Andrzej….

15 minutes to the city center by nearby tram. Very nice and green surrounding area, picturesque walking path close to the building. The appartment was very clean, comfortable to stay. The front of the house was under repairs but builders didn't make any disturbing noise while I was in. It is clear and nice the hosts take care about both the appartment and guests. I had a problem with communication because of a glitch in Booking.com application but the host used outside the application means to help. Very much appreciated. Recommend.
