You’re close enough to walk to the main square in about ten minutes (maybe fifteen if you’re stopping to peek into those little side streets), but far enough that you’re not hearing drunk bachelor parties stumbling past at 2am. The airport transfer is legit around 25 minutes – I’ve done it a few times now and unless there’s construction or you hit rush hour, it’s a smooth ride. Actually, the timing works out great because you can grab dinner in the square and still make an evening flight without stress.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how they’ve nailed the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchens aren’t just for show – you can actually cook a proper meal, and there’s decent counter space (which, trust me, is rarer than you’d think in European apartments). The wifi is solid throughout, the beds are comfortable without being too soft, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower pressure is excellent. I’ve stayed in five-star places in Krakow where the shower was basically a light mist, so this was a pleasant surprise. The whole vibe feels more like you’re borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which I love.

The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the apartments are in older buildings (which is part of the charm, honestly), so if you’re on an upper floor, there might not be an elevator. But the trade-off is those incredible high ceilings and original details you get in these historic buildings. Plus, the Homelike team is really responsive – I had a question about late check-in once and they sorted it out immediately. For a three-star rating, this place punches way above its weight, and that 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve spent a night or two there. It’s become my go-to spot when I’m in Krakow for more than just a quick weekend.
